Japan Top Weekly Manga Sales Ranking: July 10 – July 16, 2023 (Updated)

When compared to most volumes with shorter days of sales, One Piece Volume 106 has sold the least as the drop of 80.20% experienced by the volume has put it behind all of its volumes with ten days of sales since Volume 93. Copies sold noted a wider drop against Volume 94, Volume 100 and Volume 104 by 14.77%, 18.37% and 13.60% (in their first ten days) and present the series’ second weakest turnout so far. Volume 106 still comes out ahead of Volume 102 by 7.06% of which the older volume sold 1,219,366 copies as of its 14th day, making it the worst performer since Volume 93.

Sales of Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 23 has considerably slowed down by 74.34%, a rather unexpected outcome as the volume was expected to stabilise by selling about 300,000 copies. The drop to 183,580 copies sold puts the total 13-day sales at 898,967 copies, much stronger than volumes with the same number of days of sales prior to its Anime adaptation—Volume 7 and Volume 12 sold 176,314 copies and 217,001 copies respectively in their first 13 days. However, against other volumes with shorter days of sales, Volume 23’s 898,967 copies sold are not as great at all. Volume 16 for instance sold 1,519,819 copies in just ten days while Volume 18 achieved 1,321,226 copies sold in nine days. With all that said, the series is stuck in a decline trajectory state and may see a slower outcome for the next volume.

There are no direct comparisons against Yubisaki to Renren‘s 9th volume performance of 52,070 copies. Volume 9 did sell more than Volume 4 and Volume 6, however, these are their performances in the first three days and the volumes may have been able to sell more had they been in four days of sales instead. Against Volume 7 and Volume 8, Volume 9 does seem to be quite stable in terms of copies sold, revenue-wise, Volume 7 has a greater advantage seeing that it had a Special Edition released alongside. Overall, the performance fluctuates but is fairly stable. Though the series may see a boost in copies sold after the Anime airs.

Yubisaki to Renren will receive a TV Anime series adaptation by studio Ajia-do, which is set to air from January 2024.

Mairimashita! Iruma-kun Volume 33 has sold 117,075 copies in its first 11 days.

Contains the Yoichi Isagi and Meguru Bachira’s signed can badges, clear cards and sticker sets.

Nanatsuya: Shinobu no Housekibako last made an appearance with its 18th volume at 37,619 copies sold in seven days between February 13 and February 19, 2023. The performance of its 19th volume is somewhat less than that of Volume 18 amid weaker average day per sales.

Gokushufudou Volume 12 has achieved 47,903 copies sold in its first 10 days.

Ao no Exorcist Volume 29 has sold 117,746 copies in its first 13 days.

The entrance of Kanojo, Okarishimasu‘s latest volume, presents yet again the series’ weakest since Volume 11. Volume 32’s 23,211 copies sold are way less than other volumes with three days of sales, particularly against Volume 20 and Volume 24, where the gap is much palpable—a 54.10% and 41.50% drop respectively. Overall, the decline trend for the series continues to persist and it may not be too surprising to see another drop in sales for Volume 33.

TMS Entertainment adapted the work into a 12-epsiode TV Anime series in July 2020 and later produced its second season which ended its broadcast on September 17, 2022. It’s sequel is being broadcast this season worked on by the same studio which began to air from July 8, 2023.

Kumo desu ga, Nani ka? Volume 13‘s 23,018 copies sold in seven days here do not look as great as its past three volumes, but please note that the series had accumulated about 15,000 copies sold for its pre-release sales. This would put the series’ performance for Volume 13 a lot closer to Volume 11, however, is still the series weakest to date since Volume 10.

Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? was adapted into a 24-episode TV Anime series in January 2021 by studio Millepensee.

Akagami no Shirayuki-hime Volume 26 has sold 78,404 copies in its first 12 days.

This is Trillion Game‘s first ever appearance on Oricon Top 30 sales chart.

Trillion Game is being adapted into a live action drama series starring Ren Meguro, Hayato Sano, Mio Imada among others, which began to air on July 14, 2023 on the TBS network.

Eizouken ni wa Te wo Dasuna! was last seen with its 7th volume at 24,518 copies within the first six days between July 11 and July 17, 2022. Had Volume 8 been on sales here one additional day, it may have outsold Volume 7.

The series also received a 12-episode Anime adaptation by Science SARU which aired from January 6 to March 23, 2020, and a live-action film adaptation in 2020.

Kimetsu Gakuen! Volume 4 has sold 87,770 copies in its first 13 days.

The series was last seen on Oricon Top 30 with Volume 9’s Regular Edition at 22,946 copies sold in five days between January 9 and January 15, 2023. Prior to that, Volume 7 sold 18,411 copies sold in its first four days back in February 2022. It unfortunately failed to chart with Volume 8 on any of the lists the Blog tracks. Also, please note that the 10th volume’s Limited Edition is not found even on Oricon’s Top 50 sales chart for the week. With the cutoff point being about 11,000 copies on the Top 50, the Limited Edition, if it were to be tracked by Oricon, would have sold about or close to 10,000 copies. Together, that would put it more than 30,000 copies and ahead of Volume 7 and Volume 9 in terms of copies sold and revenue.

The Limited Edition of the 10th volume comes with a leaflet and a set of photos, priced at 1,700 yen (about 12 USD).

The series was adapted into a TV Anime series by studios feel. and Gaina that aired from July to September 2022.

Kawaii nante Kiitenai!! was last seen with 24,191 copies sold in its first week for Volume 6 between February 13 and February 19, 2023. It is very unlikely that Volume 7 would have sold more than Volume 6.

Ramen Daisuki Koizumi-san last made its appearance with Volume 10 on TSUTAYA’s list between September 27 and October 3, 2021. The volume, however, failed to make it onto Oricon’s Top 30 chart for the same week.

Ramen Daisuki Koizumi-san was adapted into a TV Anime series by Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ which aired from January 4 to March 22, 2018.

Mashle Volume 17 has reached 71,070 copies in its first 13 days.
