Price: 500 yen

Estimated number of copies sold: 87,538

Analysis
If we include the total copies sold for the volume’s Special Edition, the number would be nearly 110,000 copies, however, this is still far from the peak the series reached with its 16th volume which sold 212,169 copies back in March 2012, the highest it has achieved among volumes with 6 days of sales. The latest and final volume performed 11.86% stronger than Volume 45, though against others (including Volume 16) such as Volumes 14 to 16, 29, 37 and 40, it has reported fewer copies sold. Note that there are still other Limited Sets which copies sold may not be included or counted here such as the TSUTAYA’s versions that come with a bundle of acrylics. Therefore, actual physical copies sold may very well have exceeded the 115,000 copies sold mark.

Analysis
Note that the Special Edition of the 11th volume did not even make it onto the Top 50 sales chart which cutoff point for the week was at around 16,000 copies. Therefore, the Special Edition may have sold within the 15,000 copies range. If that is truly the case, that would bump up the number of copies sold for the latest volume to roughly 43,000 copies which is higher than Volumes 8 and 9, but would still be less than that of Volume 10.
Note. that Volume 11 without Special Edition

Release Date: December 16, 2022
Days of Sales: 3
Price: 480 yen
Publisher: Kodansha
Estimated number of copies sold: 23,327

Analysis
Kakkou no Iinazuke Volume 15 seems to be quite low when compared to its other volumes, but that is because its Special Edition is not here on Top 30, nor it is in the Top 50’s list for the week. If it does, it may have sold in total around 40,000 copies (the cutoff point for Top 50 was 16,000 copies). Which is still low compared to Volumes 5 to 8 but will still hold an advantage over Volume 13. Yet, copies sold for Volume 15 may still be fewer than 40,000 and if it does, that would make the volume its weakest yet among those with 3 days of sales.
Note. that Volume 15 without Special Edition

Its performance was further fortified throughout the week thanks to the release of THE FIRST SLAM DUNK re:SOURCE that became the second best-selling Manga volume between December 12 and December 18. Thanks to the release of its official soundtrack “Omoibana” that sold 243,221 copies in its first 5 days (Source: Singles Chart), Inori no Karute, the live-action drama series starring Tamamori Yuta, Ikeda Elaiza and many more took the second place at 311.22 million yen (≈2.35 million USD). For this particular series, physical sales for the week only comprise that of its Music, Books and Novels segments with Music being its biggest contributor.
