Japan Top Weekly Manga Sales Ranking: August 7 – August 13, 2023 (Updated)

Despite the increase in sales over its first three days, Kaijuu 8-gou Volume 10 is still the series’ second lowest performing volume, among those with ten days of sales, after Volume 1. The newest volume noted a huge fall of about 50% against Volume 3 to Volume 5. The gap narrows to 27.05% and 18.01% against Volume 8 and Volume 9, respectively.

There are no direct comparisons against Chainsaw Man Volume 15 within its first ten days. Looking at its performance, the latest volume would have struggled to outpace the sales of Volume 11 which did 412,334 copies in its first eleven days. That said, Volume 15 still performed stronger than Volume 9 at 208,761 copies sold in its first twelve days.

Dragon Ball Super Volume 21 has sold 117,011 copies in its first 10 days.

The Fable: The Second Contact Volume 8 has reached 103,593 copies sold in its first 10 days.

Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 23 has reached 1,179,623 copies sold within its first 41 days.

Ao no Hako Volume 11 has achieved 80,899 copies sold in its first 10 days.

Tensei Kenja no Isekai Life Volume 21 has noted a 28.93% and 10.03% drop against Volume 14 and Volume 20 respectively, all in their first four days. The latest volume has also performed poorly when compared to the three days of sales of Volume 11 and Volume 12. It is quite likely that it may experience another fall in copies sold for Volume 22.

Tensei Kenja no Isekai Life was adapted into a 12-episode TV Anime series by Revoroot that aired from July to September 2022.

One Piece Volume 106 has reached 1,532,558 copies sold within its first 41 days.

Tensei shitara Dainana Ouji Datta node, Kimama ni Majutsu wo Kiwamemasu Volume 12‘s 34,751 copies sold is the weakest among the series latest volumes with six days of sales. Volume 12 is down by 9.36%, 21.39% and 14.44% against Volume 5, Volume 8 and Volume 11. Despite the longer days of sales, Volume 12 has also performed poorly against Volume 6 and Volume 9 at 43,720 copies and 41,311 copies in five days respectively and the 35,813 copies sold for Volume 10 in four days.

Tensei shitara Dainana Ouji Datta node, Kimama ni Majutsu wo Kiwamemasu will be adapted into a TV Anime series by Tsumugi Akita Animation Lab and is slated to air from April 2024.

Shinjiteita Nakama-tachi ni Dungeon Okuchi de Korosarekaketa ga Gift “Mugen Gacha” de Level 9999 no Nakama-tachi wo Te ni Irete Moto Party Member to Sekai ni Fukushuu & “Zamaa!” Shimasu! Volume 9 has noted a 10.63% increase in sales against Volume 5, but a fall of 5.39% against Volume 8, all in their first six days of sales. The performance of the latest volume is also not as great as the 32,713 copies sold for Volume 6 in its first five days.

When compared to its latest volumes with seven days of sales, this would be Koko wa Ore ni Makasete Saki ni Ike to Itte kara 10-nen ga Tattara Densetsu ni Natteita.‘s weakest performance by far. Volume 12’s 31,586 copies sold are less than Volume 6, Volume 8 and Volume 10 by 45.61%, 33.79% and 19.71% respectively. Despite the full week of sales here, sales are not as great as Volume 9 at 39,041 copies in four days and Volume 11 at 34,927 copies in six days.

Dandadan Volume 11 has sold 64,865 copies in its first 10 days.

“Oshi no Ko” Volume 12 has reached 378,492 copies sold in its first 26 days.

Yowamushi Pedal Volume 85 is 23.14% and 10.51% weaker than Volume 76 and Volume 81, all in their first six days. The newest volume’s debut sales performance is also not as good as the five-day sales of Volume 74, Volume 75 and Volume 78 which sold 39,012 copies, 39,180 copies and 33,998 copies respectively.

Yowamushi Pedal was adapted into a 38-episode TV Anime series in October 2013, produced by TMS Entertainment, which was followed by several seasons. The latest season, titled ‘Limit Break’, ended on March 26, 2023.

Tensei Kizoku, Kantei Skill de Nariagaru Volume 12 has noted a 12.14% and 5.21% drop in copies sold against Volume 8 and Volume 11, all in their first six days. The performance of the series’ latest volume is also weaker when compared to the five-day sales of Volume 6 and Volume 9 at 29,176 copies and 30,384 copies.

Tensei Kizoku, Kantei Skill de Nariagaru is set to receive a TV Anime adaptation to broadcast in 2024 by studio MOTHER.

Kingdom Volume 69 have sold 512,667 copies in its first 26 days.

Made in Abyss Volume 12 has sold 115,612 copies in its first 14 days.

Kono Oto Tomare! Volume 29 has reached 47,898 copies sold in its first 10 days.
