World Trigger Volume 25 storms to the top of Oricon Top 30 chart to be the best-selling volume for the week, keeping a good hold of its performance at 164,995 copies sold in its first 3 days, a 2.02% improvement over its previous volume (which was also charted at 3 days of sales). This recent performance is certainly welcome as it happened despite the lack of annual releases. Note that Volume 24 was released back in December 2021. World Trigger has been serialised in Shueisha’s Jump SQ. magazine since February 2013 and has so far amassed more than 15 million copies in circulation (Source: Otalab). Further information about the work can be found on its official website here whereas some of its Manga chapters can be read for free on Shounen Jump +. The series is also being released simultaneously in both English and Spanish on Manga Plus, so be sure to check it out there. Toei Animation adapted the work into a 73-episode TV Anime series in October 2014, and two follow up seasons were broadcasted in 2021.
It is looking really good for Ao Ashi, and the Anime has definitely worked its magic. Its latest and 29th volume did really well to place it at Number 2 for the week at 123,906 copies sold in its first 6 days. This is a stronger outcome than Volumes 27 and 28 which sold 105,060 copies and 108,690 copies in their first 7 days, respectively. Ao Ashi began its serialization journey in January 2015 via Shogakukan’s Big Comic Spirits and received a spin-off title, Brotherfoot in July 2021. You can find more information about the work here together with some of its chapters available for reading for free in Japanese. On April 9 this year, the Manga was adapted into a TV Anime series by Production I.G. The Manga became a hit after the broadcast of its Anime with its circulation growing by 5 million copies to 15 million copies after as of the month of August (Source: Yahoo).
Then, we have Haikyuu!! 10th Chronicles’s Limited Edition copies with a massive 106,365 copies sold in its first 3 days while its Regular Edition is placed nine spots below at Number 12, selling 26,697 copies. When the prices are considered, the total revenue the series generated from the Limited Edition alone stands at 791,887,425 yen (≈5.52 million USD); the Regular Edition will be at 58,733,400 yen (≈409.12 thousand USD). In total, that is 850,620,825 yen (≈5.92 million USD)! Haikyuu!! 10th Chronicles contains key visual contents, unreleased illustrations, Manga, special features looking back at the series, and more according to CDJapan. As for its Special Edition, it also comes with 30 acrylic figures, illustration cards and pins.

Haikyuu!! leads the series Top 3 sales chart with a total of 872.64 million yen (≈6.16 million USD) worth of sales made for all of its physical Video, Music, Books, Novels and Manga combined with Manga being its biggest contributor for the week. This is thanks to the phenomenal success of its Haikyuu!! 10th Chronicles copies that made an impactful start as noted in the chart above.
One Piece continues to perform well on the series charts, making this its fifth consecutive appearance. Sales saw a slight dip of 32.31% over the week before to 214.20 million yen (≈1.51 million USD), bringing its total cumulative five-week sales so far to 2,206.44 million yen (≈15.58 million USD). Note that sales from its Video, Music, Book, Novel and Manga segments were all considered with the highest concentration of sales coming from its Manga.
Ao Ashi is 3rd with 108.09 million yen (≈763.18 thousand USD), not that surprising as its latest and 29th volume is the second best-selling Manga volume for the week. Sales here consist of only two categories, Manga and Music with Manga being the biggest contributor. Note that on August 24, Ao Ashi’s Anime soundtrack album was released which sales was also considered.
