Boku no Hero Academia Volume 34 retains its Number 1 spot as it heads into its second week on Oricon’s Top 30 chart at 84,639 copies sold, bringing its two-week total at 530,549 copies. Note that among its volumes with 14-day sales, the 34th volume is the second-best performing volume since Volume 29 which is an upgrade over the volume by 5.50%, but less than the 539,731 copies sold achieved by Volume 32 by 1.70%. That said, the performance of Volume 34 is evidently weaker than Volume 33 which despite having only 10 days of sales was able to hit 548,240 copies sold and could very well be its best performing volume thus far since Volume 24.
The week also sees a number of new releases making it onto the list with Kawaii dake ja Nai Shikimori-san Volume 13 leading at Number 3 with 55,723 copies sold for the week. Although the volume has an Anime adaptation ongoing, it does not seem to have any impact on sales of its latest volume. The 13th volume as a matter of fact sold 2.76% fewer than Volume 3 and 13.91% less than Volume 4, both were at their first 7 days of sales back in 2019. There is still a chance that sales may pick up once the Anime has ended, therefore we should observe further if its sales performance would improve for Volume 14.
Tensei Kenja no Isekai Life: Dai-2 no Shokugyou wo Ete, Sekai Saikyou ni Narimashita Volume 16 is placed 5th on the week’s list at 49,300 copies sold in its first 4 days, not its best considering Volume 14 was able to push out 52,675 copies sold back between November 8 and November 14, 2021. Copies sold were also a lot better for its earlier volumes, such as Volumes 11 and 12 which were able to amass 47,900 copies and 43,484 copies in their first 3 days. Tensei Kenja no Isekai Life: Dai-2 no Shokugyou wo Ete, Sekai Saikyou ni Narimashita is expecting a TV Anime adaptation set to broadcast this coming July. In the meantime, you can check out its teaser trailer down below.
