Copies sold for Sousou no Frieren’s 7th volume are down 4.86% from the 6th volume with total sales at 188,595 copies. However, the price of the 7th volume would seem to have increased slightly for both Regular and Special Editions. The 6th volume’s Regular Edition was priced at 454 yen (≈4 USD) while the Special Edition was 1,364 yen (≈11 USD). As for Volume 7, the price has gone up by almost 10% for the Regular Edition, and the Special Edition rose by around 16%. Despite the fewer copies sold produced by Volume 7, its revenue is slightly better than Volume 6 by 4.85% at 119,984,732 yen (≈984.73 thousand USD).
Head over to the 3rd spot and you will find Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen Volume 25 at 85,677 copies sold in its first 3 days, down from Volume 24’s 94,252 copies (within the same number of days) by 9.10%. Note that this would be its second consecutive drop for its 3-day sales. Prior to that, Volumes 17 to 19, and Volume 21 all had copies sold above 100,000 copies sold, peaking at 130,134 copies for Volume 19 (all in their first 3 days).
It is thanks to the amazing folks over at Oricon that we get to see these charts on a weekly basis, so be sure to head over to their site here and show them lots of love! In addition, all the data you find below is accessible via Oricon right here (Manga) and here (Series). If Google charts are what you prefer, you can find their respective links to the charts at the bottom of the post. Many of the titles that you see below have been discussed in the TSUTAYA’s sales chart for the same week, so do have a look at it right here. Some titles that did not make it onto the Top 30 chart were also discussed in the COMIC ZIN’s chart here
Blue Lock Volume 18 which places 4th on the other hand noted perhaps its best sales ever since Volume 13. Copies sold are at a high 80,839 copies in the span of 4 days. To put in comparison, Volume 14’s 7-day sales were at 79,726 copies sold. Its sales performance has been seeing a positive trend since the news of a TV Anime adaptation broke out in August 2021. For that, take note of its sales trend from Volume 15 onward.
Shuumatsu no Walküre breaks its 2-day sales record to see 70,938 copies sold, 8.50% and 5.34% higher than Volumes 9 and 12 (in their first 2 days). Copies sold continues to improve since the broadcast of its Anime, particularly from Volume 11 onward. As for Volume 13, the dip in average sales is common since copies sold tend to slow down the longer they go.
Diamond no Ace Act II is next at Number 6 with its 30th volume at 70,088 copies sold in its first 4 days. Not its best considering Volumes 19 and 23 both in their first 4 days were able to sell more copies, especially Volume 19 was at 91,586 copies sold. The title was struggling with a downtrend in sales, observable from Volumes 26 and 27 which both 3-day sales were some of the series’ weakest since Volume 18, however copies sold recovered for Volume 29 when its 3-day sales improved to 61,349 copies.
Number 8 sees Enen no Shouboutai Volume 33 at 59,104 copies sold in it first 4 days. Initially, I thought copies sold would improve as the series just recently concluded and that sales would pick up. That does not seem to be the case. Debut sales for Volume 33 are down when compared to Volumes 25 and 29, both in their first 4 days as well. That said, there is still a chance for it to rise the week after. So, do keep an eye out for that.
Skip over to Number 10 and you will find Kakkou no Iinazuke Volume 11 at 52,931 copies sold in its first 4 days which is still fewer than copies sold of its 3rd volume (which had the same number of days of sales). Its 3-day sales for Volumes 5 to 8 were still stronger as all of them were above 50,000 copies despite the shorter days of sales. Its Anime adaptation which is soon to commence this coming April the 24th may help boost its upcoming sales, hence we may see a better outcome for Volume 12.
