Japan Top Weekly Manga Ranking: March 22, 2021 ~ March 28, 2021

Saint☆Oniisan‘s Volume 19 debuted with much better sales than Volume 18 in its first week. Sales are up 33.25% debut-to-debut, but is still significantly lower than debut sales of Volume 17.

It is thanks to the wonderful folks over at Oricon that we get to see these charts on a weekly basis, so be sure to head over to their site here and show them lots of love! Plus, all the data you find below is accessible via Oricon here (Manga) and here (Series).

Kaiju No. 8′s Volume 2 has been performing splendidly ever since its debut. This would be its fourth appearance on the chart, despite the continuous drop, the series’ 2nd volume has amassed 508,794 copies sold in a month.

Two-week sales have also improved for Golden Kamuy and Shuumatsu no Walküre over their previous volumes. The two titles’ latest volumes have accumulated two-week sales amounting to 197,617 copies and 193,101 copies respectively. Shuumatsu no Walküre recorded better two-week sales than Golden Kamuy as the latter witnessed more consistent sales.

Although the series recorded a smaller increase for most of its volumes, Jujutsu Kaisen is still as heavily present on the chart. Volume 0 to Volume 14 occupy spots 6 to 20 while Volume 15 maintains its number 1 position, however sales have dropped. Three new titles have made their way onto the chart (other than Saint☆Oniisan). At number 23, you will find Ojisama to Neko,Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari at 25 while Non Non Biyori settles for the 30th place. Without further ado, the full list is as follows:

  1. Sousou no Frieren still on top 😊
Maybe Jujutsu is having problems with stocks 🤔

    1. Yes! By the way I am reading it. It reminds me Natsume Yuujinchou, a series I really like. So, thanks for the suggestion! 😁

I was expecting the rise to be much more than 5% – 10% for Jujutsu Kaisen. Perhaps there is a shortage of stocks…

  2. I don’t know Natsume Yuujinchou, I think I should give it a try read 🤔

Looking at daily estimates Kimetsu is gaining momentum again. And Jujutsu still doesn’t have a lot of changes, I think the oricon analysis can be boring again lol

    1. Natsume Yuujinchou has been my all time favourite! It can be a little slow for some people, slice of life etc. But, I really enjoy the mood. Sousou no Frieren gives the same ambience. You can try it a couple of chapters and see how it goes!

Yeah… it’ll be less thrilling to see two dominating forces occupying nearly all the spots on the chart. Hopefully series like Kaiju No. 8, Mashle and etc. can provide some fresh air.
