Despite seeing sales climbing up by 23% for the period between June 1 to June 7, Kimetsu no Yaiba’s volume 20 dropped a notch to number 2 as World Trigger’s latest volume overtook Kimetsu no Yaiba with 192,000 copies sold nationwide Japan. World Trigger has had a rough time due the Mangaka‘s health and has found itself on hiatus several times before including another possible hiatus recently. However, Shueisha has given the green light to publish its latest, chapter 197 as Rough Draft in the following issue. Good news is, Daisuke Ashihara is reportedly recovering (source: here).
The week’s Top 10 chart also saw a number of new titles making into the list. If you would like to find something new to read, the one title you may want to take note of is Chainsaw Man (No. 7). You can read the chapters for free on Manga Plus. So, please do give it a go by clicking on the link provided. At number 8, you will find Natsume Yuujinchou’s latest volume. This is one of the recommended reads, but if you do not like the slice of life type genre, you may want to reconsider. Though, it is really a good read. Other than that, you will find new and latest volumes of Jujutsu Kaisen (No. 3), Ao no Exorcist (No. 4) and Owari no Seraph (No. 9).
Kimetsu no Yaiba’s volume 17 to 19 are also in the week’s chart, but they have all recorded a sales decline with volume 18 falling the hardest of the three. Scroll down a little further, you will find the Weekly Chart by Series. Here, Kimetsu no Yaiba tops the chart as it accumulated 744.7 million yen in total sales plus tax.
