Japan Top Weekly Manga Ranking: February 22, 2021 ~ February 28, 2021

I was expecting sales for Jujutsu Kaisen to drop the previous week seeing how it was fluctuating the weeks between January 11 to February 14, however it managed to drive sales up for the week between February 15 to February 21. Total sold for Volume 1 to Volume 14 were 1,420,893 copies that week, up 0.26% from the week before, and now sales for all of its volumes have calmed down to settle the week at 1,046,781 copies sold.

It is thanks to the wonderful folks over at Oricon that we get to see these charts on a weekly basis, so be sure to head over to their site here and show them some love! Plus, all the data you find below can be found via Oricon right here (Series) and here (Manga).

The two-week sales for Kaguya-sama‘s Volume 21 are down from copies sold achieved by Volume 20, though the stronger second week sales for Volume 21 helped to narrow the difference between the two. The two-weeks sales for Volume 20 and Volume 21 are 243,878 copies and 230,551 copies respectively with Volume 18 remaining as the weakest performer thus far among the seven latest volumes.

The Top 10 chart features three new release, all occupying the Top 3 spots with Yotsuba to! leading the list with 194,159 copies. A fine performance considering the last appearance it made was back in 2018 with the release of Volume 14. At second place is the 10th volume of Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii which debuted at a welcoming 143,357 copies, but debut sales for Volume 10 is much lower than sales posted by Volume 9 in its first week. Volume 9 debuted with 215,828 copies sold, while Volume 8 debuted with 178,357 copies.

Nevertheless, it is good news for Uchuu Kyoudai which trails the two at number 3 for the week. Sales are strong for Volume 39 in its first week as it posted the strongest debut sales so far of all the latest four volumes. Volume 38 sold 109,625 copies in its first week, thus putting Volume 39 23.05% higher. We will probably have to wait till the second week to have a better grasp on the performance, till then, this trend is much appreciated.

Without further ado, the full list is as follows:

    1. Kaguya-sama’s weakest two-week sales so far has been Volume 18, so there is still hope! For Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii, I would like to observe a little longer how it will perform on Week 2 and Week 3.

  1. Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen Vol. 21 hizo menos ventas que el volumen 13 de dbs que está en v jump, no tiene sentido ¿La serie está bajando de calidad?

    1. Do you mean the two-week sales? According to the data I have, Dragon Ball Super Vol. 13 two-week sales are at 155,095 copies.

  2. Primera semana ^_^. Si recuerdo correctamente el volumen 14 hizo menos en su primera semana 🙁

  3. Aunque no creo que debería preocuparme por sus ventas no son las mejores pero son decentes creo yo.

      1. Ahh I see, well yes. They are quite good sales to be honest. It is just that Kimetsu no Yaiba and Jujutsu Kaisen are pretty much well… setting the bar too high for the rest.

  4. Pusieron la “vara alta” jajaja y si. cuando miras los números de esas series piensas que los demás mangas no venden nada🤣

    1. Hahaha 😂😂😂 True to that, and that’s why we tend to think the numbers are low, but they’re actually doing quite well. Well, the more is always better though, right? 😏😏😏

  5. Jujutsu Kaisen manga sales perfomance serie
    february 15 – 21 not is 1,419,893
    february 15 – 21 is 1,420,893

Jujutsu Kaisen manga sales perfomance individual

    Extra Jujutsu Kaisen Vol.0

    1. You’re right! I updated and fixed my post on February 15 to February 21. I mistakenly input 98,768 copies sold for Volume 11 instead of 99,768 copies. Thanks for pointing that out! 😁

      1. Oh? No, no, you are not boring at all! I really appreciate whenever you point out to any mistakes! 😁😁😁

  6. Why cant I view the graphs prperly? Even after switching to landscape mode, some portion of the graphs is missing.

    1. Hi! Thanks for letting me know. If it still doesn’t work on landscape mode, it could be an issue on my side. I will try and set the width to a 100% instead of a definite number.

Also, I added links directly to the graphs at the bottom of the post. Do you think you can try accessing them there and see if they work?

      1. Yes, the links are working fine. Thanks for the speedy reply and sorry for the late reply.
