Japan Top Weekly Manga Ranking: February 1, 2021 ~ February 7, 2021

The latest ONE PIECE‘s volume debuts at the top of Oricon’s weekly sales chart with 1,237,929 copies sold. However, the number is slightly lower than copies sold for Volume 97 which managed 1,255,427 copies sold in its first week. Following closely behind ONE PIECE‘s Volume 98 is the second volume of Kimetsu no Yaiba‘s official fanbook. Volume 1 is also on the chart at number 5 with 75,376 copies sold, though, Volume 2 sold a whopping 1,005,655 copies in its first week!

It is thanks to the amazing people over at Oricon that we get to see these charts on a weekly basis, so be sure to head over to their site here and show them lots of love! The data you find below is all accessible via Oricon via the links right here (series) and here (Manga).

At number 3, you will find World Trigger‘s Volume 23 with 238,549 copies sold. The title saw an increase over previous volume’s debut sales, which was released in 2020 with 192,413 copies sold. This marks an overall 19.34% improvement over the last volume. At number 4 is DEATH NOTE Short Stories which sold a handsome 85,378 copies. Owari no Seraph‘s latest volume is also on the chart at number 7. The title has been experiencing weaker debut sales as of recent, but Volume 23 released with positive growth over Volume 22 which debuted at 51,598 copies sold last year.

Although sales have slowed down for Jujutsu Kaisen for the week, all of its volumes are accounted for on Oricon’s Top 30. There are five new releases from spots 11 to 30 with the Collector’s Edition of Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibouken occupying both number 23 and 24. The full list is as follows:

    1. Hi! Looks like I missed your comment as it went in straight to the spam section. The one you attached is the list according to series, whereas here I sourced it from a section on Oricon’s site which have the data organised according to individual volumes. Though, I am not sure where they got it from, the Business Account or the Youtaijou Account. However, the numbers do add up. 🙂

    1. Hi, Jay! I actually split the one officially released by Oricon and WSJ (and other sources) as official and unofficial. I have them posted right here:

      https://erzat.blog/oricons-yearly-manga-sales-ranking-2020-unofficial/

But, I am hesitating to do it again. If WSJ got the data from Oricon’s Business Account, I may be able to inquire them if information could be shared here (as the information should be shareable). However, if it is from Oricon’s Youtaijou (personal) platform, I may not be able to due to Oricon’s policy… 😭
