Japan Top Weekly Manga Ranking: December 27, 2021 ~ January 2, 2022

Although one may think that it is quite the slow week between December 27 to January 2, well, not for Jujutsu Kaisen. All nineteen volumes are accounted for with total sales accumulated at 1,217,249 copies as Volume 18 continues to lead with its Regular Edition at 498,140 copies. The Special Edition however has dropped considerably to 33,225 copies from 122,004 copies it made the week before. A hint of a rise was quite visible back between December 20 and December 26, most likely due to a knee jerk effect from the screening of its Jujutsu Kaisen 0 film which in its second weekend saw 473,000 admissions, earning it 620 million yen (≈5.34 million USD) in revenue (Source: Crunchyroll). The strong copies sold also helped the series to see decent recovery compared to Volume 17 which 14-day sales (including presales) were at 1,357,799 copies sold. Volume 18 is amongst its volumes with the shortest days of sales when charted at 9 days, however copies sold are at 1,321,226 copies. Nevertheless, Volume 16 is still its best seller thus far with 10-day sales at 1,519,819 copies sold.

Shuumatsu no Walküre Volume 13 succumbs to 67.78% fall in copies sold from the week before, the largest in the Top 10 whereas One Piece Volume 101 is still hanging on as it climbs a few spots up, however copies sold are weaker than the prior week. Crawling back up from the bottom 11 to 30 would be Kaijuu 8-gou Volume 5 which settles for the 9th spot at 40,050 copies sold.
