Tokyo Revengers Volume 25 beats expectations to see its best sales ever at 500,480 copies within its first 3 days, 12.99% higher than the 3-day sales of Volume 24. Note that Volume 23 too had the same number of days, though the turnout was lower, it may have been because of a knee jerk reaction to the broadcast of its Anime which was still fresh at the time. It would seem that appetite for Manga has improved this week after some weeks of slowdown, perhaps this could be due to the upcoming holidays and festive seasons.
It is thanks to the wonderful folks over at Oricon that we get to see these charts on a weekly basis, so be sure to head over to their site here and show them lots of love! Plus, all the data you find below is accessible via Oricon right here (Manga) and here (Series). You can also find all of the charts below in the form of Google charts by heading to the bottom of the post and clicking on their respective links.
Coming in at Number 2 is Uma Musume Cinderella Gray Volume 5 at 115,060 copies sold in its first 3 days. Both Volumes 3 and 4 were at 5 days of sales at the time when they were charted with the latter volume seeing copies sold as high as 148,572 copies. The Manga by Taiyou Kuzumi began serialization on June 11, 2020 and serves as a side story to Starting Gate!: Uma Musume Pretty Derby, a Manga adaptation of the Uma Musume: Pretty Derby TV Animation series which ended after six volumes.
Skip over to Number 6 and you will find Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen Volume 24 at 94,252 copies in its first 3 days. Copies sold fluctuate a lot for the title, and Volume 24 is by far its weakest 3-day sales performer. The best ever recorded since Volume 15 was for Volume 19 at 130,134 copies. 3-day sales have managed to stay above the 100,000 copies sold mark for previous volumes (of course since Volume 15), however the same does not apply for Volume 24. We may have to observe closely as to the performance of its future volumes before judging it is on a decline or not.
Sales for Number 7’s Golden Kamuy remains relatively stable with the 28th Volume reporting 93,445 copies sold within its first 3 days. Similar to Volumes 22 to 24, Volumes 26 and Volume 27. Sales for Volumes 19 to Volume 21 could produce copies sold of above 140,000 copies, but that has so far fallen to 116,341 copies sold for Volume 25 which had the same number of days.
And then we have Diamond no Ace Act II Volume 29 placing 9th at 61,349 copies sold, also in its first 3 days. Its 3-day sales performance has been on an up and down cycle with the highest reached by Volume 18 at 72,948 copies. Lowest was for Volume 26 at 52,124 copies sold. Volume 29 is an improvement of 8.88% over Volume 27 (which had the same number of days).
As for Blue Lock Volume 17 which places 10th at 60,081 copies sold in 3 days, this is 19.81% higher than Volume 16’s 48,181 copies sold which had the same number of days of sales. It reported the best sales ever for Volume 15 at 95,396 copies in 6 days, a great improvement over Volume 14’s 79,726 copies sold in its first 7 days.

Over to the bottom 11 to 30 and you will find a slew of new releases including popular titles such as Enen no Shouboutai and Kanojo, Okarishimasu. First, would be Number 11’s Enen no Shouboutai Volume 32 at 47,596 copies sold in its first 3 days. Copies sold have been struggling thus far, but the outcome of Volume 32 is a good sign for the series as this is a much better performance than Volume 31’s 39,565 copies sold in its first 3 days. 3-day sales were the highest for Volume 28 at 54,572 copies sold.
Next, head over to Number 18 is Kanojo, Okarishimasu Volume 24 at 39,676 copies sold in its first 3 days as well. 3 day sales were the best for Volume 20 at 50,566 copies, and the series suffered a drop in sales for Volume 23 which 3-day sales were at 37,833 copies. The Manga received a TV Anime adaptation which ran between July to September, 2020. It is slated to receive a sequel in 2022.
But of course, not to be missed would be one of the longest running series ever, Hajime no Ippo Volume 133 at 34,432 copies sold. As mentioned in my COMIC ZIN’s post the other day, if you are a big fan of Tokyo Ghoul, Sui Ishida’s new work, Choujin X sees a double release as it places both spots 20 and 22 with Volumes 1 and 2 at 33,113 copies and 29,852 copies sold respectively. You can check out the Manga officially translated in English via Manga Plus right here. At Number 23 is another title you may be familiar with, Kyokou Suiri Volume 16 at 27,016 copies. It too received an Anime adaptation in 2020 and will be receiving a follow up season in 2022.
