Improving 10.36% debut-to-debut from its previous volume, One Piece Volume 100 registers 1,172,940 copies sold in its first week as it leads the cast of new releases between August 30 to September 5. Debut sales are still lower than what we can see from past volumes, in particular Volume 93 which saw 1,378,177 copies sold in its first week. However, the release of its 100th volume has spurred demands for its other volumes as can be seen with Volume 99 which places 9th for the week, nearly three month since its debut. Sales are expected to level on Week 2.

It is thanks to the amazing folks over at Oricon that we get to see these charts on a weekly basis, so be sure to head over their site here and show them lots of love! Plus, all the data you find below is accessible via Oricon right here (Manga) and here (Series).
At Number 2 is Kaijuu 8-gou Volume 4 which records a slight increase debut-to-debut from Volume 3 at 332,401 copies sold. Note that sales have been on an upward trajectory for the title and as of two-week, sales for Volume 3 passes the 500,000 copies sold mark. Sales are not expect to widen between Volume 4 and Volume 3, but a rise is possible. Therefore, do keep a lookout on its performance the following week.

Interestingly, Ao Ashi Volume 25 beats my expectation to place 3rd and bringing in 103,091 copies sold for the week, up 43.89% debut-to-debut from Volume 24! A major bump indeed. Perhaps I was too quick to jump to conclusion given that the announcement came on the day of Volume 24’s release date. Its spin-off title, Ao Ashi: Brotherfoot Volume 1 can be found at Number 6 with 54,021 copies sold for the week. The title is worked on by Yuugo Kobayashi, one of the authors of the main title. Publishing began back in July 12 through Shogakukan’s Big Comic Spirits magazine. You can check out the first chapter available here for free in Japanese!

At Number 4 and Number 5, you will find Tatsuki Fujimoto’s (Chainsaw Man) one-shot Look Back at 73,912 copies and Natsume Yuujinchou Volume 27 at 57,433 copies sold respectively. Be sure to not miss out on reading Look Back which official English version is available right here through Manga Plus! Though Natsume Yuujinchou sales may seem quite low, its Limited Edition can be found at 11 at 31,438 copies sold. That should put its total sales at a very comfortable 88,871 copies. However, this is lower than Volume 26’s 132,742 copies in its first week.
Over to Number 7, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Volume 15’s debut sales improve a little over Volume 14 by 9.94% to 50,631 copies sold. Debut sales were at its best for Volume 11 where it saw 83,613 copies sold, though correction is expected on Week 2.

Fuuto Tantei Volume 11 sits in at Number 8 for the week at 44,906 copies sold. The title is set to receive an Anime adaptation slated for release in Summer 2022. At Number 10 is Kujou no Taizai Volume 3 by Shohei Manabe at 32,262 copies sold. A fairly new series which began in October of 2020, publishing via Shogakukan’s Bg Comic Spirits. For those of you interested, Chapter 1 is available for free right here (in Japanese).
