This is quite an interesting list for the week between November 8 to November 14 with no new releases making their way onto the Top 10 Blu-ray sales chart. Instead, the first 7 spots are completely dominated by Violet Evergarden series’ entire catalogue which presents clear evidence of how impactful the Movie was onto the series as a whole. The Movie disc sales have fallen from a week ago by 71.95% to 3,324 copies sold from 11,849 copies. Their lifetime sales have now reached 116,555 copies! Also, this is most likely the best time to obtain the Movies’s Special Edition version as CDJapan is currently having it on discount thanks to Black Friday. So, do check it out! If we take into account the sales of its other volumes of the TV Animation series and Eien to Jidou Shuki Ningyou, the title saw a total of 11,984 copies sold for the week. Note that this is not inclusive of the TV series’ DVD versions as they did not make their way onto Oricon’s Top 20 DVD sales chart.
With the strong copies sold for the series, the title witnessed yet another consistent revenue of 111,452,800 yen (≈972 thousand USD), slightly down from the 116,200,800 yen (≈1.02 million USD) it made the week before. Please remember that some of its volumes have not been included, as such actual sales should be higher. As a result, its total lifetime revenue tracked by the site (not including volumes that did not place on the Top 20) is at 1,238,092,200 yen (≈10.81 million USD), mainly driven by sales of its Movie packages.
