Sales of Anime Blu-rays and DVDs remain lackluster going into the first week of May according to Oricon’s latest weekly charts for Blu-ray here and DVD here with no new releases making into the top 10 chart for the week between May 4 to May 10. Toaru Kagaku no Railgun T could not retain its momentum after stumbling the hardest – in terms of sales – from 3,000 copies it sold the previous week to only 700 copies for the week. Although Toy Story 4 has climbed a spot to take the number 1 spot, sales have dropped by about 1% for the title.
It is thanks to Oricon that we get to see these charts on a weekly basis, so why not head over to Oricon and show them some love here!
Looks like things may continue to be the same for the following week (May 11 to May 17) as only the Anime Fragtime and Infinite Dendrogram are scheduled to release according to website, gameiroiro. However, we may see sales of Blu-rays recover for the week between May 18 to May 24 as heavyweight titles such as Haikyuu!!: To the Top and Psycho-Pass 3, volume 2 and 3 respectively will be releasing that week.
