Wow, this is certainly something seeing Uma Musume: Pretty Derby (TV) Season 2 selling a whopping 112,030 copies in its first week. The number is also way greater than debut sales of Fate/stay night Movie: Heaven’s Feel – III. Spring Song which sold 81,163 copies back in March. Note that, Cygames is also a producer of the series, with the success it had with Princess Connect! Re:Dive last year, it certainly landed another hit this time around. Princess Connect! Re:Dive sold roughly 20,000 copies each volume in its respective debut week, and Uma Musume: Pretty Derby (TV) Season 2 sold five times more than that. Trailing behind at 2nd place is Love Live! Nijigasaki Gakuen School Idol Doukoukai‘s Volume 6 which experienced better sales debut-to-debut from Volume 5’s 16,934 copies. Volume 1 is still the overall best performer thus far with 22,345 copies sold in its first week. Jujutsu Kaisen‘s Volume 5 is on a tight chase, positioned at number 3, it sold 14,722 copies. Together with sales of its DVDs, the title has recorded 21,673 copies sold for the week, down 8.76% from Volume 4.

Others on the list have also witnessed better debut-to-debut sales performance including the 7th Volume of IDOLiSH7: Second Beat! Sales have improved slightly for Volume 7 over Volume 6’s debut as it sold 258 copies more during the week. Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka? Bloom‘s Volume 6 recorded a small growth from 5,004 copies it sold for Volume 5 to 5,105 copies for Volume 6. Note that, Volume 6 is its last volume. Sales remain relatively stable for Strike Witches: Road to Berlin as Volume 6 reported another 4,000 plus copies sold in its first week. Strike Witches: Road to Berlin is also another release that showed better performance debut-to-debut from its last, which sold 4,289 copies compared to Volume 6’s 4,342.

Unfortunately, for Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu 2nd Season‘s Volume 6 did not see an improve in number of copies sold from Volume 5’s 4,253 copies. Sales are down 2.56% to 4,144 copies for Volume 6. Nevertheless, the title has been recording consistent sales of over 4,000 copies sold in its first weeks so far. Volume 1 is still its best opener. Sales of its DVDs however, continues to disappoint.

Other releases in the Top 10 include Natsume Yuujinchou: Ishi Okoshi to Ayashiki Raihousha which did considerably well as both Blu-rays and DVDs sold a cumulative 13,219 copies. Yuru Camp△ Season 2‘s Volume 2 did better than Volume 1 to see copies sold at 6,751 copies (Volume 1 sold 5,190 copies). SK∞‘s Volume 3 saw minute improvement as it debuts with 5,064 copies sold whereas Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken 2nd Season settles for the 11th place with 3,735 copies sold.
