Despite the heavy plunge for sales of Frozen II going into its second week, physical copies sold by the title are still going strong as it hangs on to its number 1 spot for the week between May 18 to May 24. Trailing behind is no longer the Regular Edition of the movie, as it was overtaken by Azur Lane’s sixth volume which saw slightly better sales compare to its fifth volume which debuted at 5,973 copies sold back in April. The Regular Edition of Frozen II Blu-ray dropped a spot to number 3 for the week after seeing 76% dip in its total copies sold.
It is thanks to Oricon that we get to see these charts on a weekly basis, so why not pay those awesome guys at Oricon a visit here and show them some love!
Japanese Animation titles have shown improvement for the week as their overall presence in the charts have somewhat improved compare to previous weeks. This may be the result of some heavy weight titles such as Azur Lane, Haikyuu!! and Psycho-Pass’s latest volumes making their debuts for the week between May 18 to May 24. Though, these titles are still finding hard to crack that 3,000 copies sold mark. Apart from the titles mentioned above, Dorohedoro (No. 5), Show By Rock!! (No. 7) and Boku no Hero Academia (No. 10) are some of the other new titles making into the week’s top 10 chart.
That said, the following week will be a very exciting week (May 25 to May 31) as we get to see a number of great titles such Fate/Grand Order: Zettai Majuu Sensen Babylonia, Kimetsu no Yaiba, Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu (Newly-edited Edition) and most importantly Tenki no Ko making their debuts according to site gameiroiro.
