A rather bleak look of the latest chart between the period of March 9 and March 15 for sales of Anime Blu-rays and DVDs for the week available here (Blu-ray) and here (DVD). Also, it is thanks to Oricon that we are able to see these weekly charts up for free, please be sure to visit them over here!
GRANBLUE FANTASY The Animation Season 2 has remained somewhat consistent throughout their sales with the latest addition to its Blu-ray family sits at the top of the chart for the week, debuting at a humble 7,369 copies sold nationwide Japan between the period. Its volume 2 and 3 also sold around the same range with volume 2 debuting at 7,448 copies sold (January 13, 2020 ~ January 19, 2020) while volume 3 at 7,150 copies sold (February 10, 2020 ~ February 16, 2020).
Symphogear XV saw a big drop in sales after quite the entrance it made the week before. Sales dropped by almost 92% from 27,467 copies it sold the previous week to only 2,342 copies. On the other hand, Girls & Panzer Das Finale Episode 2 stumbled a spot down to number 4 as it shaved off 68% of its total copies sold compare to the week before. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba 8 was unfortunately ejected from the top 10 Blu-ray list.
Other than that, there were no other noticeable new additions to the the week’s list, but Disney has made a comeback. However, it’ll be a crowded week between 16th and 22nd of March with a slew of releases making into the foray, you can see them here. For the full list it is as follow:
