Jujutsu Kaisen shattered record as sales of its third volume’s Blu-ray and DVD made its way onto the list with 16,821 and 8,239 copies sold respectively, the highest it has ever achieved so far; bringing the total copies sold for the two editions in their first week to 25,060 copies, up 15.12% from debut sales of Volume 2 back in February. The debut sales for all three volumes alone now stand at 69,032 copies.

While the week welcomed a slew of new Anime releases, sales remain lackluster for most as only eight titles managed to breach Oricon’s Top 20 Blu-ray chart for the week. Nevertheless, the week features some familiar faces the likes of Free!: Eternal Summer (No. 4) and Cross Ange: Tenshi to Ryuu no Rondo (No. 8), both which recently received the Blu-ray Box treatment. The first of the two however, saw very good sales with 4,022 copies sold. The fourth volume of Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei: Raihousha-hen experience a small recovery over debut sales of it Blu-ray’s Volume 3, placing it at 3rd for the week with 5,282 copies sold, though its DVD sales were not as encouraging.
