A really slow week as Oricon Blu-ray sales chart features only two new releases the week between June 7 to June 13 with Hige wo Soru. Soshite Joshikousei wo Hirou.‘s Volume 1 at number 2 selling 1,759 copies. Note that the Light Novel where the Anime was adapted from has just recently concluded with the release of its 5th volume which did performed really well on the Light Novel sales chart. The title does have a Manga adaptation that is still ongoing, and if you would like to check out how it looks like, you can do so here (Japanese version)! The series will receive an official English release by One Peace Books (Source: ANN) which is slated for an October release. Skip a spot over, and you will find Log Horizon: Entaku Houkai‘s Blu-ray Box which encapsulates all 12 episodes of the third season of the series. Unfortunately, sales are not looking good at all for the title. Despite the hefty 18,000 yen ($162) price tag, it may not be able to generate a healthy revenue via disc sales.
Others on the list you may want to note of would be Uma Musume: Pretty Derby (TV) Season 2‘s 1st volume which three-week sales are now at 175,222 copies! Fate/Grand Carnival 1st Season fell 94.36% to see only 1,164 copies sold. That should put its two-week sales at a comfortable 21,810 copies. Love Live! Nijigasaki Gakuen School Idol Doukoukai‘s Volume 6 too have dropped week-on-week as its three-week sales reached 18,733 copies sold.
The week between June 14 to June 20 will be an interesting one! On the 16th of June, we get to see a number of popular releases such as Kimetsu no Yaiba Movie: Mugen Ressha-hen and Tokyo Revengers. Uma Musume: Pretty Derby (TV) Season 2 has set the bar really high on the week of its release, therefore it will be exciting to see how Mugen Ressha-hen and Tokyo Revengers would stack up. Well, this is Kimetsu no Yaiba we are talking about, I am very sure it would sell a lot.
