Anime Blu-ray sales ended on a positive note as it exits the month of June with sales of Kimetsu no Yaiba Movie: Mugen Ressha-hen discs still going strong in Japan, especially its DVD counterparts. Its discs sales in total have now reached 1,494,636 copies, and will definitely cross the 1.5 million copies sold mark the following week. Uma Musume: Pretty Derby (TV) Season 2 has seen a sharp decline for sales of its 2nd volume, ending the week at 8,736 copies. That should put its two-week sales at 159,126 copies sold. Despite the small drop week-on-week, the series’ Volume 1 continues to do well on Oricon sales chart, its six-week sales now have hit 187,320 copies sold! As a series, the title has managed 346,446 copies sold as of July the 4th. Fate/Grand Carnival 1st Season and Love Live! Nijigasaki Gakuen School Idol Doukoukai Volume 7 come in at 8th and 9th place respectively with lower sales reported week-on-week.

At number 3 is Strike the Blood IV Volume 6 which recorded 5,945 copies sold. Note that this is the final volume for the title, and is its weakest debut sales so far. Volume 1 came out strong in its first week with 6,938 copies sold, though it reached its highest debut sales with Volume 2 that sold 7,522 copies in its first week. Sales have been on a downtrend ever since Volume 4. However, it was recently announced that studio Connect will finish the adaptation of the Light Novel with a follow up sequel titled ‘Strike the Blood Final’. A spot below belongs to the Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Eternal Movie with its Blu-ray Limited Edition selling 4,772 copies for the week. The Blu-ray’s Regular Edition failed to place on Oricon’s Top 20 Blu-ray chart that week, but its DVD sales managed to see both ranking in at number 3 and 4 respectively. In total, excluding the Regular Edition for its Blu-ray, the movie have sold 7,946 copies. That should put it at quite a decent spot.
Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu 2nd Season Volume 7 places 5th for the week, at 4,130 copies sold, the title’s sales have remained steady, yet sales of its DVDs are still unimpressive. Blu-ray debut sales peaked at 4,730 copies for its 1st volume before dropping to 4,174 copies for its 2nd volume. Sales have since been hovering between 4,100 copies sold to 4,200 copies sold.
