Frozen II is back at the top of the chart according to Oricon’s latest weekly sales ranking for Anime Blu-rays sold in Japan for the period between June 1 to June 7. The title overcame last week’s Tenki no Ko (or also known as Weathering with You in English) as sales for the title slumped most noticeable its Limited Edition which fell roughly 92% to settle for 5th for the week. The Standard Edition on the other hand, declined by about 85% as it dropped a spot to number 2 after occupying the 1st place the week before.
It is all thanks to Oricon that we get to see these charts on a weekly basis, therefore please do pay the awesome folks there a visit here and show them your support! Since 11 titles made into the Top 20 Blu-rays sold in Japan chart, you can find all the sales data available here.
The week’s list is also greeted by a number of titles including How to Train Dragon’s latest film at number 3, though the debut sales is not as encouraging. However, you will find all three of its movies packaged together in a single disc at number 10. Together, the title has sold 4,951 copies. Lupin 3DCG theatrical film debuted at number 4 for the week, at the same time its Standard Edition is at number 7. In total, the title sold 5,803 copies for the period. Another new title is Aikatsu series collection at number 6, the ￥43,000 collection sold 2,400 copies in its debut week.
Kimetsu no Yaiba is still in the Top 10 chart, but sales have declined. Likewise Fate/Grand Order: Zettai Majuu Sensen Babylonia (No. 11) also faced a significant drop. For the full list, it is as follows:
