The weekly ranking for Anime Blu-ray and DVD are finally out via Oricon for the period between February 10 and February 16 for the public to view here (Blu-ray) and here (DVD). It is thanks to Oricon that we get to view these charts for free, so please do pay them a visit!
The 3rd volume of GRANBLUE FANTASY The Animation Season 2 released on the 12th of February has taken the 1st spot with an estimated number of 7,150 copies sold in Japan bringing the total number of Blu-rays and DVDs sold for the series to 11,295 copies. The series is followed closely by Promare which topped the chart for the week before at number 2. Unfortunately, Promare’s sales plummeted significantly at around 93% as they only managed to squeeze in 2,005 copies in for the week. However, this should bring the movie’s cumulative sales to more than 50,000 copies sold. Toy Story climbed up 2 spots to number 3 while Symphogear XV dropped 2 spots to number 4. Sales remain sluggish for the week as anything below Symphogear XV managed a sale of less than or slightly more than 900.
The chart however, saw 2 new titles making into the list with Moominvalley Blu-ray Box Deluxe Edition and Regular Edition taking two spots at number 5 and 8 respectively. Nanatsu no Taizai: Kamigami no Gekirin on the other hand, occupies the 10th place.
