Well, although I did expect Princess Connect! Re:Dive to sell well in its first week, since Granblue Fantasy The Animation has had consistent positive sales every time a new volume of the title is released, but I did not expect Princess Connect! Re:Dive to do this well. According to Oricon’s latest Blu-ray chart here, the title’s first volume sold a whopping 28,518 copies in its first week! For comparison sake, volume one of Granblue Fantasy The Animation Season 2 which debuted December 2019, only sold 8,578 copies in its first week.

It feels as if all the sales that could have gone to other titles have been absorbed by Princess Connect! Re:Dive. Therefore, other titles have performed somewhat below par for the week. Following closely behind Princess Connect! is Magia Record: Mahou Shoujo Madoka☆Magica Gaiden (TV). Despite posting lower sales compare to its previous volume, sales remain constant for the title – more than 5,000 copies sold on its first week when new volume is released.
