Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou tops the weekly Light Novel sales chart with 15,045 copies sold of its 13th volume in just… 1 day! Now, this is quite a large improvement when we compare its latest performance against some of its other past volumes with much longer days of sales. For instance, Volume 7 was charted at 15,933 copies sold in its first 7 days, then we have Volumes 9 and 10 at 17,701 copies and 17,432 copies sold in their first 6 days, respectively. The closest we have to the 1-day sales we see here would be its 11th volume which sold 23,103 copies in 2 days back in July 2020. Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou was first published by Overlap in June 2015 and was adapted into a Manga series by artist RoGa the year after which was serialized in Comic Gardo. More information about the work can be obtained on its official web page here whereas some of its Manga chapters can be read for free in Japanese here. Note that Airship is publishing the Light Novels officially in English with Volume 12 up for pre-order as of the time of writing. In July 2019, the series was adapted into a 13-episode TV Anime series by asread. and White Fox. Then, its sequel was aired in January 2022, produced by asread. and studio MOTHER. A Season 3 is currently in the works, however no confirmation as to its date of broadcast has been given yet. If you missed out on the news about its latest season, do watch the video of its announcement below. If you head over to its Season 2’s Blu-ray page, the series is noted to have passed 5 million copies in circulation.
Skip a spot over to Number 3 and Kekkaishi no Ichirinka Volume 2 makes its presence at 12,138 copies sold in its first 5 days, its first appearance on the list. The novel first began its publication journey in December 2021 and was later adapted into a Manga series by artist Odayaka in March this year which is being serialized in B’s-LOG Comic. More information about the work can be obtained on its official Manga web page here, and if you are interested to see what its Manga is like, feel free to give some of its chapters a try right here in Japanese on Comic Walker.
Something is certainly not right with Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu. Its latest and 31st volume can be found at Number 5 for the week at 11,581 copies sold in its first 4 days, which is quite the departure from Volumes 23 and 26’s 23,093 copies and 21,350 copies sold in their first 4 days. The performance of its latest volume is also less than the 3-day sales of Volumes 27 to 30 and would possibly mark its worst performance to date since Volume 22. However, there is a strong potential that it can rebound the week after and see copies sold closer to Volumes 23 and 26. Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu was first serialized on Shousetsuka ni Narou in April 2012 before it was officially published by KADOKAWA under its MF Bunko J label in January 2014. Around six months after its official publication, it was adapted into a Manga series by artist Daichi Matsuse, serialized in Comic Alive. More information about the work can be found on its official website here whereas some of its Manga chapters can be read for free in Japanese on Comic Walker. Yen On is publishing its official English volumes with Volume 20 now available for pre-order, slated for release on November 22. According to the cover of its 28th Light Novel volume, the series has more than 11 million copies in circulation. White Fox adapted the work into a 25-episode TV Anime series in April 2016, ever since, it has seen numerous other Anime-related releases such as the side story “Memory Snow” in October 2018 and Re:Petit kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu in June 2016. It received its sequel TV Anime season split in 2-cour format in July 2020.
