Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon makes for a big return with its 6th volume, sitting atop of the list at 49,132 copies sold in just 3 days. The Light Novel was last seen with its 5th volume that may have sold slightly better at 68,161 copies in its first 4 days. Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon began its publication journey in January 2019, and a Manga of the same name is serialized in Square Enix’s Gangan Online magazine. More information about the work can be accessed via its official website right here while several of its Manga chapters are available in Japanese right here for free. As of July this year, the series has surpassed 5 million copies in circulation (Source: Yahoo). Studio Kinema Citrus is set to produce the series Anime adaptation; however, the specific date of its broadcast is not yet known. At Number 2 is Tian Guan Ci Fu Volume 1’s Regular Edition with a great opening of 19,973 copies sold in its first 3 days while its Special Edition can be found at Number 6 with 8,291 copies sold. Yes, the Special Edition you see here IS priced at 7,000 yen (≈50 USD) each, more expensive than a copy of Kimetsu no Yaiba: Yuukaku-hen Blu-ray. This should put its total revenue for both editions at 93,988,400 yen (≈682.30 thousand USD). Note that the volume does come in other formats such as the Animate Limited Set, the Stella Worth Limited Set etc., however, they are not counted here. Also known as Heaven Official’s Blessing in English, the work by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu was first published in February of 2021 and was later adapted into an Anime by Haoliners Animation League the same year. The title is also available officially in English, published by Seven Seas.
Next, at Number 3 is the 12th volume of Yotsugogurashi at 16,731 copies sold in its first 5 days, slightly down by 10.57% from Volume 11’s 18,708 copies sold back in March this year. More information about the KADOKAWA title can be found on its official webpage right here, and via the same page, you can check out a music video and voice drama released by KADOKAWA to promote the title.
Goblin Slayer makes its 16th volume debut at Number 5 selling 8,407 copies in its first 4 days. Unfortunately, its sales performance has not been great. The 4-day sales here are 43.98% and 32.93% less than the 3-day sales of Volumes 11 and 12, and it is only a small improvement over Volume 14’s 3 days of sales by 0.50%. Goblin Slayer was first published as a Light Novel in February 2016 where it then received a Manga adaptation three months after its first volume, serialized in Square Enix’s Big Gangan magazine. More information about the title can be found on its official webpage right here, and some of its Manga chapters can be read for free right here in Japanese. According to its 16th volume description, the series has surpassed 9 million copies in circulation. The title was also adapted into a 12-episode TV Anime series in 2018 by White Fox, and a sequel in the form of a film was released in 2020 titled “Goblin’s Crown”. It is slated for yet another sequel TV series, though the broadcasting date is still unknown as of the time of writing. You can check out the promotional video of its sequel Anime announced in January of 2021 below.
