Japan Top 15 Weekly Light Novel Sales Ranking: October 16 – October 22, 2023

Blue Lock: Tatakai no Mae, Bokura wa. has reported a minor increase of 2.66% for the Niko・Kunigami・Hiori volume against the Chigiri・Reo・Rin volume, both in their first six days. Like Chigiri・Reo・Rin, despite the shorter days of sales against Isagi・Nagi・Bachira, sales for Niko・Kunigami・Hiori is nearly 2.5 times that of Chigiri・Reo・Rin (in its first week), making this the title’s best debut performance to date.

A spin-off title of the main series that focuses on Niko, Kunigami and Hiori.

The 9th volume of Tensei shita Daiseijo wa, Seijo de Aru Koto wo Hitakakusu has noted a 3.62% increase in copies sold against Volume 6, but against Volume 8, the latest volume has fallen by 11.49%, all in their first five days. Volume 9’s 11,463 copies sold are also not as great as the four-day sales of Volume 7 at 12,639 copies.

It was adapted into a Manga series by artist Mahito Aobe that is serializing in Comic Earth☆Star with some of its chapters can be read for free right here in Japanese. The Light Novel is also available officially in English, published by Airship.

Kyoto Teramachi Sanjou no Holmes Volume 20 has sold 22,721 copies in its first 12 days.

Minazuki-ke no Iinazuke has achieved 16,189 copies sold in its first 10 days.

Kizumono no Hanayome has sold 15,031 copies in its first 10 days.

Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka: Familia Chronicle has sold 14,407 copies in its first 10 days.

Kusuriya no Hitorigoto Volume 14 has reached 79,082 copies sold in its first 24 days.

Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni. has experienced a major drop in sales for Volume 29 against Volume 22 by 45.58%, both in their first four days. The latest volume has also noted a significant decline in sales against the two-day sales of Volume 18 to Volume 20 and other volumes with shorter days of sales since Volume 18. This is despite the latest Anime season having aired from April 3 to June 19, 2023, and that it has not encouraged any new demand for its newest volume. Looking at its current trajectory, it may further contract for Volume 30.

“Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni.” has an ongoing Manga adaptation by artist Patora Fuyuhara, which was initially serialized on November 26, 2016, in Comp Ace. The series was adapted into a 12-episode TV Anime series by Production Reed in July 2017. The sequel was broadcast from April 3 to June 19, 2023, produced by studio J.C.Staff.

Rokudenashi Majutsu Koushi to Akashic Records Volume 23 has not done as well as its other volumes with three days of sales. Particularly against Volume 19, the latest volume has registered a 31.71% drop in copies sold whilst against Volume 21, the fall is less severe than Volume 19 of about 19%. Against others, the outcome of Volume 23 is also slightly weaker when compared to Volume 20 at 4,679 copies in two days and 6,840 copies sold for Volume 22 in its first four days.

A Manga adaptation is available for “Rokudenashi Majutsu Koushi to Akashic Records,” but it was short-lived, ending after Volume 16. Shinjiteita Nakama-tachi ni Dungeon Okuchi de Korosarekaketa ga Gift “Mugen Gacha” de Level 9999 no Nakama-tachi wo Te ni Irete Moto Party Member to Sekai ni Fukushuu & “Zamaa!” Shimasu! Volume 8‘s 3,606 copies sold in its first four days is nearly 20% less than the outcome seen by Volume 6 which sold 4,470 copies. In between, the series sold 2,896 copies for its 7th volume of which Volume 8 represents a small improvement over its last.

It also has a Manga adaptation by artist Takafumi Oomae that is serialized in Kodansha’s Magazine pocket with some of its chapters available for reading right here in Japanese for free.

Matsurika Kanriden Volume 15 has sold 5,239 copies in its first 9 days.
