Note. As for how some of the releases are being considered as Light Novel here, please note that I have compared them with other databases, such as crosschecking with Honto Ranking and TSUTAYA Ranking for the same week. Some titles can be tricky such as Number 2’s Yojouhan Time Machine Blues as I was struggling as whether to take it in or not. Decision was made by looking at CDJapan and MyAnimeList. As for Number 6, it has a Manga adaptation, and is thus considered. I will create a methodology section some time later to explain further how the titles are decided. Apologies, after further research, it is found out that Real mo Tama ni wa Uso wo Tsuku is actually a Manga. Please refer here for more explanation.
There are quite a number of new releases for Light Novels in this week’s ranking with Housekishou Richard-shi no Nazo Kantei Volume 12 leading the charge at Number 3 with 8,420 copies sold in its first 3 days. The Light Novel was first published in December of 2015, and nearly four years later, it received a Manga adaptation by artist Mika Akatsuki which is serializing in the Comic ZERO-SUM magazine. More information about the title can be accessed via its official webpage here and its first chapter can be read on the same site for free here in Japanese. In 2020, the series received a 12-episode Anime adaptation by studio Shuka, but no news of a sequel has surfaced so far. Yowaki MAX Reijou nanoni, Ratsuwan Konyakusha-sama no Kake ni Notte Shimatta Volume 4 follows suit at Number 4 with 6,950 copies sold in its first 5 days, a promising start considering Volume 3 debuted at 6,363 copies sold in its first 7 days back in November 15 and November 21 last year. It too has a Manga adaptation ongoing since February 2021, published in Flos Comic with some of its chapters available for free right here in Japanese. According to its cover page, it now has 350,000 copies in printed circulation.

Head over to Number 6 and you will find a title you may be familiar with, Rokudenashi Majutsu Koushi to Akashic Records makes its Volume 21 debut at 6,214 copies sold in its first 3 days, which is a small drop of 15.26% from Volume 19 which sold 7,333 copies in its first 3 days between June 14 and June 20 last year. A Manga adaptation is available for the series, but was short-lived, having ended after Volume 16. You can still read its first three chapters for free right here in Japanese. More information about the title can also be found here via its official webpage. In April of 2017, it received a 12-episode Anime adaptation by LIDENFILMS. Number 7 sees Tensei Youjo wa Akiramenai Volume 7 at 5,746 copies sold in its first 5 days, a small improvement of 4.99% over Volume 6’s 5,459 copies sold back in September the year before. It too has a Manga adaptation that is still ongoing, published in MAGCOMI with some of its chapters available for reading right here in Japanese for free.

Ijinkan Garou: Hoshi Tomoru Yoru wo Kimi ni Sasagu is next at Number 9 with 4,841 copies sold, a shoujo title that has been published since February 2014. Then, we have Oishii Verandah. Agata-ke no À la carte at Number 11 with 4,310 copies sold in its first 5 days. You can also find its Manga adaptation that is currently being serialized in B’s-LOG Comic by artist Oka Okazaki. Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is the novelization of the theatrical release that happened this month on June the 11th. It sits at Number 12 with 3,946 copies sold in its first 6 days. Finally, we have Ore wa Subete wo “Parry” suru: Gyaku Kanchigai no Sekai Saikyou wa Boukensha no Yume wo Miru Volume 5 at Number 15 with copies sold at 3,155 in its first 5 days. The title does have a Manga adaptation that has been serializing since September 2020 through Comic Earth☆Star of which more information about it can be found here.
