Analysis
When we compare Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken Volume 21‘s copies sold against its past volumes with shorter days of sales, the latest volume is not as good as the 83,180 copies and 72,834 copies sold for Volume 18 and Volume 19 in their first five days and six days. Even when the pre-release sales are considered, Volume 21 at 84,206 copies sold is still less than Volume 18 and the 85,620 copies sold for Volume 19 (including its own pre-release result). Against its more recent volume, Volume 20 was able to produce nearly an identical outcome as Volume 21 (minus the pre-release), selling 58,682 copies in just three days.
As usual, for some reason, the sales of Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken Volume 21‘s Limited Edition is nowhere to be found on Oricon’s lists and should have been somewhere within the Top 10 or Top 20 considering the threshold for the week. As of the time of writing, we can either surmise that sales for the Special Edition is not reported to Oricon or is counted together with the Regular Edition.
Additional Comments
The volume also has a Limited Edition released that is priced at 1,400 yen (about 10 USD) which comes with a picnic blanket that can be seated for two.
