Japan Top 13 Weekly Light Novel Ranking: November 15, 2021 ~ November 21, 2021

Zoku Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei: Magian Company’s 3rd volume maintains its position at the top of the chart with 12,447 copies sold, down 69.03% week-on-week as its 12-day sales hit 52,640 copies sold, its lowest since sales of Volume 1. Note that Volume 1 had 71,658 copies sold as of Day 9 while Volume 2 was at 58,682 copies sold as of Day 10.

Good news for Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e: 2-nensei-hen Volume 5 which places 3rd for the week would be that it reported better sales by 29.04% week-on-week at 8,802 copies sold. That should bring its total as of its 28th day to a great 87,184 copies!

The week also features a whole lot of new releases with Maydare Tensei Monogatari leading at 2nd place with 9,409 copies sold in its first week. The title’s preview of its latest volume is also available for reading via Comic Walker, so do give it a look! If you are interested, its related Manga title is also available right here via Square Enix. Regarding the author’s previous work, you may be familiar with Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi which was adapted into a 26-episode Anime series back in 2018 by studio Gonzo.

Of course, not to forget Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni. Volume 25 which performed rather well in its first 3 days at 6,861 copies sold. However, this is still less than sales of Volume 23 which managed to see 7,926 copies sold within the same period. Note that Volume 21 had such high sales thanks to presales and its longer 7-day of sales when charted. Unfortunately, it could not see sales of Volume 24 making onto the chart on the week of its release, instead it made its appearance the following week at 7,391 copies sold. The series was Animated by studio Production Reed in 2017 and an ongoing Manga serialization is also available.

Head over to the Number 5, you will find Yowaki MAX Reijou nanoni, Ratsuwan Konyakusha-sama no Kake ni Notte Shimatta Volume 3 at 6,363 copies sold in its first week. Interestingly, Tondemo Skill de Isekai Hourou Meshi Volume 11 sold 5,555 copies for its presales. A precursor to a strong performance the following week I suppose? Anyway, the series is one of the few that have been gaining traction in Japan with pretty strong Manga sales as well. 

Several other new releases include Ryuu ni Kou Volume 3 at 5,381 copies, Matsurika Kanriden Volume 11 at 4,805 copies, Okazari Ouhi ni Natta node, Kossori Hataraki ni Deru Koto ni shimashita Noroi de Ugokenai Heika ni Kawatte Usagi to Musou shimasu at 4,595 copies sold in their first week. Head over to Number 12 and you will find Koujo Denka no Kateikyoushi Volume 10 with promising sales of 4,269 copies in its first 2 days. There is more, its series printed circulation has now achieved 400,000 copies!

Finally, we have the first part of Mizu Zokusei no Mahoutsukai Volume 3 at 3,434 copies in its first 2 days. You can also check out its Manga of the same name available here if you possess a Niconico Manga account. Without further ado, the full list is as follows:
