Sentouin, Hakenshimasu! is the best-selling title for the week between May 30 and June 5 on the Oricon Light Novel chart seeing 7,225 copies sold in the span of 5 days, a greater performance than the 5,421 copies sold for Volume 6 back in September 2020 in its first 6 days. Note that publication began for the title in November 2017, and nearly four months later it was adapted into a Manga series by artist Masaaki Kiasa which is serializing in Comic Alive. You can check out some of its available chapters for free in Japanese through Comic Walker right here. It is also available officially in English for its Light Novel with up to Volume 6 now available for grabs. Two years after its serialization as a Manga, the series was adapted into a 12-episode TV Anime series by J.C.Staff which ran from April and June of 2021. The Anime adaptation was also KADOKAWA’s 10th best performer for the 3rd quarter of the fiscal year 2022. More information about the title can be accessed through its official webpage here, and you can also check out its short TV commercial that was released by KADOKAWA to promote the series down below.
Otome Game Sekai wa Mob ni Kibishii Sekai desu Volume 10 is 3rd on the list with 5,418 copies sold in its first week, its third consecutive drop since Volume 8. Note that Volumes 8 and 9 were able to achieve 5,408 copies and 5,581 copies sold in their first 5 days and 6 days. Considering that it is having its Anime adaptation being broadcast as we speak, it is quite concerning not to see a boost in copies sold in Japan. The adaptation is currently being produced by studio ENGI which is partially owned by KADOKAWA by 53.0% (Source: KADOKAWA, page 14). Publication began for the series in May of 2018 before it was adapted and serialized as a Manga in 2018. You can check out some of its available chapters available for free in Japanese right here.
