Tokidoki Bosotto Russia-go de Dereru Tonari no Aalya-san continues to show great stride in its local market as its latest volume noted 19,897 copies sold, 11.24% higher than Volume 2, both at 3 days of sales. The Light Novel series first began publication in February 2021 and was ranked 9th on the “Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi!” ranking for the year 2022. Kadokawa has also released a number of promotional videos for the series via its official Youtube channel, the recent one being a voice drama featuring both main characters of the series. You can check it out down below, and I have to say that it is quite hilarious. The voice drama is about Aalya being jealous of Kuze, the male protagonist for getting closer to a senpai at school.
Right next is Isekai Nonbiri Nouka Volume 12 at 14,807 copies sold in the first 4 days, slightly down by 2.71% from Volume 11. The series has regularly placed on the Light Novel charts since Volume 6. Copies sold were down rather sharply for Volume 9 which sold 9,937 copies in the first 3 days, 24.89% lower than Volume 8. However, sales have recovered ever since. The Light Novel also has a Manga adaptation of the same name, serializing via Comic Walker of which several chapters are available for reading for free in Japanese right here.

Before we dive into other new releases on the chart, let us take a look at Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu’s 29th volume sales performance in the first 10 days. Copies sold are unfortunately not performing as hoped in Japan, noting its third consecutive drop since Volume 26, and its worst 10-day sales performance since Volume 24. Copies sold for its latest volume has fallen by 9.94% from the 24,422 copies sold it had for Volume 28.
Skip all the way to Number 8 and you will find a series that should be of great interest to you. Tensei shitara Ken deshita Volume 13 makes its debut at 5,169 copies sold in the first 5 days, not as encouraging as the 4,359 copies sold it made for Volume 12 back in September 2021 in the first 3 days. Nevertheless, the title is set to receive an Anime adaptation this coming Fall Season with the first trailer already out by studio C2C. Do have a look at it below. In December 2016, the series was greeted with a Manga adaptation by artist, Tomoo Maruyama where its first three chapters can be read for free in Japanese right here (click here for easy access to Chapter 1).
At Number 10 is another familiar face, Saikyou Degarashi Ouji no Anyaku Teii Arasoi: Munou wo Enjiru SS Rank Ouji wa Koui Keishousen wo Kage kara Shihai suru with its 9th volume at 3,960 copies sold in the first 3 days which may be a little less than Volume 7, though it is quite hard to say. Volume 7 back in July 2021 sold 5,497 copies in its first 4 days before copies sold for Volume 8 calmed down at 5,751 copies in December the same year in the first 5 days. The series too has a Manga adaptation that is ongoing via Young Ace UP magazine by artist Yukino Amagai. You can check out some of its chapters right here for free in Japanese.
At Number 12 is Shikkaku kara Hajimeru Nariagari Madoushidou!: Jumon Kaihatsu Tokidoki Senki Volume 5 at 3,643 copies sold in the first 5 days. Oddly enough, it was pulled out from Amazon Kindle and is currently no longer available for purchase in English. Finally, Isekai Ja Slow Life wa Mamanaranai: Seijyou no Shujin wa Shimasodachi, a new title by AlphaPolis is 14th on the list with copies sold at 3,102 in the first 5 days.
