Plus, all the data you find below is accessible via Oricon right here (Blu-ray) and here (DVD). To access the sales data, be sure to click on the “Analytics” accordion and then click “Chart”. This should bring you to the Google chart page that contains the latest available sales data.
Please note that Oricon’s daily surveys do not cover all stores in Japan, and some data may be missing from the list provided below. To view the list of stores that participate in Oricon’s surveys, please refer to the link provided (or the post here). If you would like to learn more about Oricon and their tracking methods, you may find additional information here. While I have manually counted the number of stores included in the list below, please be aware that there may be some errors, and not all stores are listed on official websites as many are exclusive sets listed to certain retailers. Therefore, it’s important to keep in mind that the number of stores counted may not fully reflect all retailers that sell the product.
The cutoff point on the Blu-ray general chart for the week was 1,585 copies, while for DVD, it was 482 copies. This time around, overall Anime sales were strong enough to see 13 releases on the general Blu-ray chart, allowing us to observe the total number of copies sold for the Top 13. As for DVD, any releases denoted with “N/A” have sold fewer than 482 copies.

However, this is not as good as the prequel film, Hoshi Naki Yoru no Aria which sold 36,604 copies and grossed a higher amount of 310,183,800 yen (≈2.22 million USD) in just three days back in July 2022..

Bocchi the Rock! has achieved its best performance to date with Volume 6, selling 21,375 copies in its first five days. This represents a 27.29%, 21.32%, 10.23%, 14.63%, and 5.21% increase in sales compared to its predecessor’s debut sales. In total, the series has now surpassed the 100,000 mark, reaching 114,141 copies in sales and grossing 789,079,000 yen (≈5.66 million USD) in revenue. As of the time of writing, the lifetime sales of the series are estimated to be around 150,000 copies.

When compared to its past two volumes, the Blu-ray sales of Volume 3 have registered a stronger outcome compared to Volume 1 by 28.20%. Although Volume 1 was released at a higher price, the additional copies sold for Volume 3 allow it to outpace Volume 1 in terms of gross sales. All in all, the total Blu-ray debut sales now stand at 17,898 copies, with a total revenue of 144,426,400 yen (≈1.04 million USD).
