Japan Top 12 Weekly Light Novel Sales Ranking: September 4 – September 10, 2023

Tokidoki Bosotto Russia-go de Dereru Tonari no Aalya-san Volume 7 has sold 28,547 copies in its first 10 days.

Please note that this is the first Light Novel volume appearance for Akuyaku Reijou wa Dekiai Route ni Hairimashita!? on Oricon Top 10 Light Novel sales chart since the Blog began tracking.

The series was also adapted into a Manga series by artist Ren Sakuma that was first serialized on February 12, 2022. More about the work can be learned via its official Manga web page while its first chapter can be read in Japanese for free right here.

Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon Volume 7 has sold 180,216 copies in its first 59 days.

Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka Eiyuutan: Argonaut Zenshou Douke Koushin (Part 2) has sold 14,189 copies in its first 12 days.

Youjo Senki Volume 13 has sold 14,317 copies in its first 12 days.

Saikyou no Kanteishi tte Dare no Koto? was last seen selling 4,299 copies in its first five days with Volume 18 between May 8 and May 14, 2023. Before that, the series failed to make it onto any of Oricon’s list with its 17th volume, however, it did appear for Volume 14 to Volume 16 selling 5,291 copies, 4,821 copies and 3,830 copies in their first five days, four days and three days respectively.

Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha witnessed its worst performance amongst volumes with three days of sales with Volume 14 (Part 1) closing 62.68%, 43.94%, 48.35%, 23.09%, and 21.50% lower against Volume 7, Volume 10 (Part 1 and Part 2), Volume 12 (Part 2) and Volume 13 (Part 1). The decline trend remains strong for the series and if it does not do well in other aspects such as digital, this may not bode well for the series.

Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha inspired a 13-episode TV Anime series in July 2020 that was produced by SILVER LINK. with the follow up season being aired this season as of the time of writing. The broadcast of Season II Part 1 suffered a delay from episode seven onwards and has only recently started its broadcast again in the month of August 2023. Its second part has also been announced but no actual date of broadcast has been released so far.

Note that it has been slightly more than four years since the last release of Boogiepop Light Novel. Boogiepop Almighty Dizzy ga Lizzy wo Omou Toki was released on May 10, 2019.​
