Japan Top 13 Weekly Light Novel Sales Ranking: October 9 – October 15, 2023

Against its 19th volume, the 20th volume of Kyoto Teramachi Sanjou no Holmes has noted a decrease of 5.61% in copies sold, both in their first five days and against Volume 17 and Volume 18, the latest volume did not perform as good as the two which sold 14,924 copies and 15,222 copies in their first four days.

The volume is titled “Minarai-tachi no Mirai Tenbou” or “The Future Outlook of Apprentices”.

In Summer 2018, the series received a 12-episode Anime TV series adaptation by studio Seven and a Manga serialization is currently ongoing by artist Ichiha Akizuki through the Monthly Action magazine of which some of its chapters can be read for free right here in Japanese.

Kusuriya no Hitorigoto Volume 14 has reached 72,963 copies sold in its first 17 days.

Minazuki-ke no Iinazuke last made its debut selling 9,266 copies and 10,956 copies sold for Volume 1 and Volume 2, making this to be its best performance to date considering Volume 3’s short days of sales of 9,217 copies sold in three days.

The volume is titled “Tennyo Kourin no Chi” or “The Descent of Heavenly Maiden to Earth” in English.

It has a Manga adaptation by artist Chika Mizube that is published in Kodansha’s Palcy magazine with some of its chapters available for reading in Japanese right here.

Kizumono no Hanayome has a Manga adaptation ongoing by artist Mamenosuke Fujimaru that began its serialization in 2023 via Kodansha’s Palcy of which more about the work can be learned and its first chapter can be read for free in Japanese right here.

Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka: Familia Chronicle has made stronger debuts with Ryuu Volume 1 and Freya Volume 1. The outcome of Ryuu Volume 2 seems less than ideal considering copies sold are significantly lower, particularly, against Freya Volume 1. This could indicate readers’ lack of or forgotten interest in the title considering Freya Volume 1 was released back in December 2019. That said, the outcome for the newest volume may improve in the next seven days as is sometimes noted by some titles such as the poor result for the series main title’s 18th volume in its first two days which bounced back stronger in the next seven days of release.

Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka: Familia Chronicle was adapted into a Manga series by artist Hinase Momoyama that has been serialized in Gangan Online since February 23, 2017. This is Aisanai to Iwaremashite mo‘s first ever appearance on any of the lists the Blog tracks.

Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! Yorimichi 3-kaime! has reached 19,380 copies sold in its first 17 days.

Majo no Tabitabi was last seen with its Volume 19’s Special Edition at 4,318 copies sold in its first five days between September 12 and September 18, 2022. The series failed to chart on any of the lists the Blog tracks for Volume 20.

Strike the Blood Append Volume 4 has sold 7,123 copies sold in its first 10 days.

The volume is titled “Hakugyoku Kitarite Aiterasu”.

Matsurika Kanriden was last seen with 5,450 copies sold in its first six days for Volume 12 back between March 14 and March 20, 2022. The series was not seen with Volume 13 and Volume 14 on any of the lists the Blog tracks.

The series was also adapted into a Manga by artist Waka Takase that began its serialization in August 2018. You can read its first chapter here for free in Japanese.
