Japan Top 18 Weekly Light Novel Sales Ranking: July 10 – July 16, 2023

Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon previously made its debut with Volume 6 selling 49,132 copies within its first three days back in July 2022. Volume 7’s 68,329 copies sold marks a 39.07% improvement over its previous volume which is very likely a result of its Anime and live-action film’s adaptations boosting demand for its new volume.

Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon is being adapted into a TV Anime series by studio Kinema Citrus of which the first episode was aired on July 5, 2023. Prior to that, the work was adapted into a live-action film which was released on March 17, 2023, starring Ren Meguro and Mio Imada.

Apart from that, it has a Manga adaptation of the same name which began to serialize in Square Enix’s Gangan Online magazine in January 2019. Yotsugogurashi Volume 15 marks the series’ second weakest performance among its latest five volumes. The 14,324 copies sold for its 15th volume are down by 23.43%, 14.39% and 6.67% against Volume 11, Volume 12 and Volume 14, however, it has sold more than Volume 13 by 3.54%.

The volume is titled “Hontou no Jibun wo Torikaese!”.

Yotsugogurashi also has a Manga adaptation that is currently ongoing and serialized in KADOKAWA’s Comptiq magazine by artist Oriko Sakura. You can find more information about it here via its official webpage or read the first chapter in Japanese right here.

Focuses on the story of Argonaut’s tale as the “Hero of the Beginning”.

Ryuuou no Oshigoto! dipped into its lowest performance to date since Volume 12 with copies sold failing to go beyond the 10,000 mark for Volume 18 unlike the past two volumes with four days of sales. The latest volume has noted a 63.65% and 41.27% drop in copies sold against Volume 13 and Volume 16 which sold 22,513 copies and 13,935 copies in their first four days in August 2020 and April 2022. Volume 12 which debuted in only three days managed to push even higher, selling 30,008 copies in February 2020.

The title received an Anime adaptation back in 2018 by studio Project No. 9, and a Manga adaptation which ran for 10 volumes. It ended its serialization in September 2019 via Young Gangan.

Kajiya de Hajimeru Isekai Slow Life managed to record a small increase in copies sold for Volume 8 against Volume 6’s 6,833 copies sold, both in their first seven days. The series was seen with Volume 7 at 3,350 copies in three days back in December 2022, not quite a good turnout out and before that it saw a strong outcome of 8,608 copies sold for Volume 5 in five days in November 2021.

A Manga adaptation of the Light Novel by artist Tamamaru is also available through Dengeki Comic Regulus of which several of its chapters are available for free right here in Japanese.

Bonkura Onmyouji no Oniyome last made an appearance with its 7th volume at 6,316 copies way back in August 2021 within its first four days.

Demons’ Crest Volume 2 has achieved 8,929 copies sold in its first 10 days.

Nanatsu no Maken ga Shihai suru Volume 12 has sold 7,228 copies in its first 10 days.

Seijo ja Nakatta node, Oukyuu de Nonbiri Gohan wo Tsukuru Koto ni Shimashita was last seen with Volume 7 at 3,679 copies sold in its first three days back in July 2022. Prior to that, the series’ 6th volume made its debut selling 2,872 copies in two days in January the same year. The work failed to chart on any of the lists the Blog tracks for Volume 8. Compared to its past volumes, Volume 9’s 3,260 copies sold in seven days are not as good as Volume 6 and Volume 7’s performances.

This is Koushaku Reijou wa Waga Michi wo Baatari-teki ni Iku‘s first ever appearance on Oricon’s Top 10 Light Novel sales chart.

Okazari Ouhi ni Natta node, Kossori Hataraki ni Deru Koto ni Shimashita was last seen with its Noroi de Ugokenai Heika ni Kawatte Usagi to Musou shimasu volume at 4,595 copies sold in its first week in November 2021.

The work was also adapted into a Manga series in May 2021 by artist Houhou, serialized in Flos Comic of which some of its chapters can be read for free in Japanese right here via Comic Walker.
