Analysis

This is quite an interesting outcome. Note that Kusuriya no Hitorigoto also sees its latest Manga volume making its debut during the week, but unlike its Light Novel, the 12th Manga volume did not see a rise in copies sold against its prior volumes. Its Light Novel 14th volume on the other hand, has noted 10.52%, 6.27% and 19.49% increase in volume sales against Volume 10 to Volume 12 respectively. This is still before its Anime broadcast on October 22, 2023. Nevertheless, I expect the Manga to still rise, though perhaps after the Anime airs.

Additional Comments

It received a Manga series adaptation by artist Nekokurage nearly three years after the Light Novel’s first publication, serialized in Big Gangan magazine. More information about the Manga can be obtained right here along with the first chapter that is available for reading for free in Japanese.

Kusuriya no Hitorigoto will be receiving a TV Anime series adaptation that is set to begin its broadcast on October 22, 2023. The project will be helmed by OLM and TOHO animation STUDIO.

Analysis

The physical sales of Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu are in trouble. The 12th volume having seven days of sales here may just be the series worst performance to date since Volume 22 when compared to its past volumes with relatively shorter days of sales. If we go further back, Volume 25 sold 19,705 copies in its first three days in December 2020 (though the Christmas advantage may have played a hand) and Volume 26 did 21,350 copies in four days in March 2021. Against more recent volumes, Volume 31 sold 11,581 copies in its first four days in September 2022 whereas Volume 33 sold 14,207 copies in five days in March 2023. Then again, the volume may stabilize the next seven days, though it would seem like this may unlikely be the case.

Additional Comments

The series was adapted into a Manga by artist Daichi Matsuse and serialized in Comic Alive. Some of the Manga chapters can be read for free in Japanese on Comic Walker. White Fox adapted the work into a 25-episode TV Anime series in April 2016, followed by numerous other Anime-related releases, such as the side story “Memory Snow” in October 2018 and Re:Petit kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu in June 2020. Its sequel TV Anime season was split into two cours, airing in July 2020 and January 2021. A third season of the Anime has been announced, but its broadcast date is currently unknown.

The outcome of its 14th volume may be slightly ahead of Volume 13 had it gone two more days longer here.

Note that the volume is named “Dum spiro, spero (Part 2)”.

The series was also adapted into a Manga which began its serialization on April 26, 2016 by artist Carlo Zen. More about the work can be learned via its official web page here whereas its first chapter can be read for free in Japanese right here.

Even with its pre-release sales counted, at 8,821 copies, this is still 27.38% and 15.37% less than the seven-day sales of Volume 20 and Volume 25 and worse than the sales of Volume 18 and Volume 19 which recorded 12,980 copies and 12,670 copies sold in their first five days in December 2019 and March 2020 respectively.

Sales Performance: Chart
Printed Circulation: 3,200,000 (Source)

Analysis

It is looking good for Tensei shitara Ken deshita Volume 16 with copies sold rising 10.58% and 25.10% against Volume 12 and Volume 14, all in their first three days. The series was also seen with Volume 13 at 5,169 copies in five days and Volume 15 at 5,842 copies in four days. Volume 15 does seem a little higher than Volume 16, but the same cannot be said for Volume 13 of which Volume 16 may very well have been able to overtake had it two extra days here. That said, please take into consideration the fact that Volume 13 was sold prior to its Anime adaptation.

Additional Comments

The series was adapted into a TV Anime series that aired from October 5 to December 21, 2022, produced by studio C2C. It is set to receive a sequel on an unannounced date.
