Japan Top 11 Weekly Light Novel Ranking: February 7, 2022 ~ February 13, 2022

The Light Novel sales chart for the week between February 7 and February 13 opens with the 3rd volume of Shin Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei: Cygnus no Otome-tachi, a spin-off title of the main story which focuses on the characters, Alisa Iba and Katsuto Juumonji. The 1st volume missed out on the chart in its debut week, but was seen placing 2nd between July 5 and July 11 for its 2nd volume at 15,348 copies in its first 3 days. The volume was also featured the week after with copies sold down by 32.51%, putting its 10-day sales at a comfortable 25,706 copies sold. The 4-day sales by Volume 3 puts it slightly ahead thanks to the extra day of sales at 16,001 copies. The Light Novel also received a Manga adaptation serialized nearly two months after its debut which is viewable here for free in Japanese for some its chapters.

Coming in right after is the 24th volume of Death March kara Hajimaru Isekai Kyousoukyoku at 15,133 copies sold in its first 4 days. Not to forget, its other edition which comes with a Drama CD is placed 10th on the list at 4,135 copies sold. Together, the volume has netted 19,268 copies in total. As for its performance, copies sold for its past volumes were certainly much better seeing Volume 18 at 18,753 copies in just 2 days whereas Volumes 20 was at 23,211 copies sold in its first 3 days. The title also has an ongoing Manga adaptation available here for a few of its chapters readable for free, and a TV Anime series that broadcasted between January and March 2018. The series printed circulation currently stands at 5,000,000 copies.

Next, at Number 3 is the 11th volume of Eighty-Six. Ever since the airing of its Anime commenced back in April 2021, copies sold have been steadily increasing. Prior to the Anime broadcast, copies sold were not that bad either with Volume 7 seeing 14,841 copies in its first 6 days. The few copies sold for Volume 8 is largely due to its short 2 days of sales. However, Volumes 10 and 11 are now able to hit above 10,000 copies sold mark at much shorter days of sales. Note that sales for Volume 11 are at 12,255 copies sold, nearly identical to Volume 7 despite having nearly half the days of sales that the 7th volume had. And of course, do not forget to tune into its final two Anime episodes the following month. 

Number 4 places Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale’s 12th volume at 11,419 copies sold in its first 4 days which is slightly less than copies sold made by Volumes 10 and 11 at 13,508 copies and 15,313 copies in their first 3 and 5 days. According to its cover, it now has 1.5 million copies in circulation. Head over to Number 5 and you will find the 3rd volume of Silent Witch Chinmoku no Majo no Kakushigoto at 8,347 copies sold, also in its 4 days. Number 6 is a title you may be familiar with. Osananajimi ga Zettai ni Makenai Love Comedy debuts with its 9th volume at 6,820 copies sold in its first 4 days. Unfortunately, it could not repeat the strong performance of its past volumes, in particular Volume 8. Debut-to-debut sales have slipped by 46.75% which is a lot closer to Volume 2’s performance. That said, its printed circulation has now hit 1 million copies as per its volume cover. Osananajimi ga Zettai ni Makenai Love Comedy received an Anime adaptation back in April 2021 by studio Doga Kobo. It too has a Manga which is ongoing with some chapters that can be read here for free.

There are three more new releases on the list, all in their first 4 days of sales. The 7th volume of Isekai ni Teni shitara Yama no Naka datta. Handou de Tsuyosa yori mo Kaitekisa wo Erabimashita. at 6,509 copies sold, Hime Kishi-sama no Himo at 4,185 copies sold and Hitoban dake Anata wo Watashi ni kudasai: Elite Onzoushi to Himitsu no Setsuai Kainin at 3,764 copies sold.
