Analysis
Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka Volume 19 alongside its Special Edition at Number 5 has sold a total of 35,628 copies in its first four days, reaching a revenue of 37,888,460 yen (≈255.81 thousand USD). Compared to Volume 17 which was also in its first four days when it debuted on Oricon’s Top 10 chart, Volume 19 has sold 24.47% fewer copies. Apart from that, Volume 19 has also sold far less than the amount of copies sold of many of its volumes that charted with three days of sales during their debut weeks on Oricon. For instance, Volume 8 and Volume 15 were seen at 52,896 copies and 52,073 copies sold respectively in their first three days back in June 2015 and June 2019.
Please take note that Volume 18 did not rank on Oricon’s Top 10 list during its debut week amid its very short days of sales and was only seen the week after.

Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka was adapted into a 13-episode TV Anime series in April 2015 by studio J.C.Staff who later on produced its subsequent seasons including the latest, the second cour of the fourth season titled “Fuka Shou – Yakusai-hen” which aired from January 7 to March 18, 2023.
It also has a Manga adaptation by artist Fujino Omori that is publishing in Square Enix’s Young Gangan magazine of which more information about the work can be found on its official webpage right here and its first chapter can be read for free in Japanese right here.

Analysis
This is very likely Otonari no Tenshi-sama ni Itsunomanika Dame Ningen ni Sareteita Ken‘s best debut performance to date since Volume 2. In total, Volume 8.5 (with its Special Edition below) has sold 23,273 copies in its first four days which is a major improvement against many of its past volumes with longer days of sales when they debuted on Oricon’s Top 10 lists. For example, Volume 5 and Volume 7 were seen at 19,791 copies and 19,758 copies sold in their first five days whereas Volume 2 and Volume 6 sold 12,802 copies and 15,561 copies respectively in their first six days and seven days. While not as great as Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka above, the high number of copies sold for its Special Edition (nearly equal its Regular Edition performance) has put its total revenue for the week at 19,060,280 yen (≈USD) which is slightly less than Volume 7’s 22,485,740 yen (≈USD). The larger revenue for Volume 7 mentioned is due to its more expensive Special Edition that came with a drama CD.
Additional Comments
The work was also adapted into a Manga series in January 2022 by artist Wan Shibata that is serializing in Square Enix’s Manga UP! More information about the title can be found on its official web page here whereas its Manga chapters can be read for free in Japanese here.
