The Light Novel sales chart for the week between May 31 to June 6 features eight new releases led by the final and 5th volume of Hige wo Soru. Soshite Joshikousei wo Hirou. Volume 5 which has produced a significant upgrade over debut sales of Volume 4 that was released back in July 2020 with 9,794 copies sold at the time, a 55.78% improvement. Volume 4 did go on for the next two weeks on Oricon sales chart seeing its three-week sales totalled at 26,786 copies. In addition, the series’ Anime adaptation is currently airing, at the same time, its Manga adaptation is still ongoing. Following closely behind at number 2 is One Piece‘s Light Novel ‘Heroines’ with a healthy 14,971 copies sold in its first week. Akuyaku Reijou, Brocon ni Job Change Shimasu‘s Volume 4 follows right after with 7,663 copies sold. The title also has a Manga adaptation of the same name which has just started its serialization via Flos Comic. Head over to number 4 is Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu‘s 14th volume with 6,613 copies sold. It received an Anime adaptation back in 2018 and the follow up season has just concluded its broadcasting. Publisher J-Novel Club has released 13 of its volumes in the west, so be sure to check it out!
Kou Kawai’s Youheidan no Ryouriban Volume 12 is at 5th place for the week whereas Deokure Tamer no Sono Higurashi Volume 7 and Futsutsuka na Akujo de wa Gozaimasu ga: Suuguu Chou So Torikae Den Volume 2 settle for number 6 and 7 respectively. Kenja no Deshi wo Nanoru Kenja‘s 15th volume at number 8 debuted with a decent 5,055 copies sold. The title is set to receive an Anime adaptation this year on an unannounced date. Mo Dao Zu Shi‘s Volume 1 faced a sharp fall in number of copies sold from 17,142 copies it made the week before to 5,043 copies. This should put its two-week sales at 22,185 copies. Tantei wa Mou, Shindeiru.‘s Volume 5 experienced a similar outcome, dropping 69.85% for the week, however its two-week sales have hit 20,705 copies.
