Well it did not stop at Manga, Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken powered through all the way onto the Light Novel sales chart, selling 83,180 copies in its first week! Note that this is yet again (like its Manga) another achievement for the title as this is the best debut sales it has had since Volume 16. Sales are up 18.26% debut-to-debut over Volume 17’s 67,992 copies. Furthermore, its previous volumes have performed positively with the four-week sales of Volume 16 at 109,698 copies while Volume 17’s three-week outing saw its number at 95,481 copies. Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken as a series sold 606,700 copies according to Oricon in 2020.

Apart from that, the week sees a slew of new releases making onto the chart including Seirei Gensouki at number 3 with 9,115 copies sold. The title currently has two of its volumes released in the west. Kenja no Mago is 4th with a decent 8,281 copies sold, whereas Shinmai Maou no Testament settles for the 5th place at 7,563 copies sold. Mahoutsukai de Hikikomori? which secured the 8th spot is the last new release to make the chart for the week.
Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu fell a spot to number 2 after sales for the week fell 46.97%. Tenshi-tachi no Kagai Katsudou which placed 2nd the week before, stumbled 5 spots to number 7. Number of copies sold dropped from 18,430 copies to 6,843 copies, bringing the total two-week sales for the series to 25,273 copies. Hoshi no Kirby and Sword Art Online: Progressive are still on the chart at number 9 and 10 respectively.
