The latest Light Novel ranking for the week between March 23 and March 29 is finally out and available via Oricon here. It is thanks to Oricon that we get to see these charts on a weekly basis, so please pay them a visit and show them some love!
The week saw the 16th volume of Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken taking the top spot with a handsome 61,649 copies sold nationwide Japan. The title is closely followed by Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu at number 2 with a more humble debut seeing 24,859 copies sold the same period.
Unfortunately, Kimetsu no Yaiba’s novels are still facing a decline in sales going into the 4th week of March. I have summarized the changes down below:
Due to the unpredictability of sales, it is difficult to predict whether if it will continue to fall the following week. However, it can be expected that the two titles will have a continuous presence going into the month of April.
The biggest drop for the week would be OVERLORD Vol. 14 which saw a 3rd consecutive plunge from its debut. The week between March 23 – March 29 saw sales slashed by up to 58% bringing the total number of copies sold from 39,848 copies the previous week to 16,495 copies.
A number of new titles have also made an appearance apart from Tensei Shitara and Re:Zero with Kyutei Shinkan Monogatari (No. 6), Hachi-nan tte, Sore wa Nai deshou! (No. 7), Isekai Yururi Kikou: Kosodateshinagara Boukensha Shimasu (No. 8), Izure Saikyou no Renkinjutsushi? (No.9) and Sasaki to Miyano 1 Nensei (No. 10). A total of 7 new titles in the week’s chart.
