Looks like Kimetsu no Yaiba is not going for twins, but triplets instead for its novels! The period between June 22 to June 28 saw the title’s newest novel debuting at number 2 with 23,886 copies sold for the week. At number 1 is Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e: Ni-Nensei-hen which sold quite a good amount during the period while Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu’s latest volume settles for 3rd.
It is undeniable that Kadokawa was on a roll for the said period as it occupies five of the total 10 spots in the chart according to Oricon’s latest weekly chart, accessible here. Other than the three mentioned above, there are a slew of new volumes or titles making into the week’s list. These include Hidan no Aria (No. 4), Tantei wa Mou, Shinde iru. (No. 7), Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu (No. 9) and Zensei de Tsurai Omoi wo shita no de, Kami-sama ga Shazai ni Kimashita (No. 10).
Kimetsu no Yaiba’s Shiawase no Hana and Katabane no Chou which dominated the Top 2 spots the week before saw their ranks plunged for the week to number 5 and 6 respectively. While sales have dropped, the momentum remains steady for the two novels. Meanwhile, Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni. (No. 8) experienced a considerable rise in sales.
