Japan Top 10 Weekly Light Novel Ranking: June 21, 2021 ~ June 27, 2021

Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e: 2-nensei-hen leads the chart with its Volume 4.5 at 43,764 copies sold albeit a fluctuate sales trend since the release of its 1st volume. Sales are down debut-to-debut from Volume 4’s 61,817 copies sold to 43,764 copies. The series is still very popular in Japan. Volume 4 was on the chart for four weeks to see total copies sold within the period at 93,848 copies, one of its best performers so far while previous volumes stayed for three weeks at most. More comparison shall be made once we hit Week 3 with Volume 4.5.

Following right behind is the latest volume Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu which opens its first week with 16,165 copies sold. Its 27th volume however, recorded the least debut sales thus far among its latest six volumes, falling 24.29% debut-to-debut from Volume 26’s 21,350 copies. Sales do tend to stay above 30,000 copies sold by Week 2 or Week 3, therefore do expect it to recover the following week.

At number 3 is Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu Volume 16 with 11,048 copies sold, a better outcome than Volume 15’s sales in its first week. At the time, the 15th volume sold only 8,028 copies. According to the volume’s cover, the title has now cross 2 million copies in circulation. The boost may be attributable to its Anime series adaptation set to begin July the 7th. Studio C2C will be responsible for the adaptation. It also received a Manga adaptation back in 2015. Do check out the promotional video for its Anime down below!

Head a spot below and you will find the 35th volume of Hidan no Aria. Debut sales continue to worsen from the highs of its 33rd Volume which had 17,245 copies sold in its first week. Volume 35 fell 10.32% over debut sales of Volume 34 to see only 10,751 copies sold. The title was animated back in 2011 with a follow-up in 2015, and its Manga adaptation is still ongoing.

Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni. Volume 24 places 6th for the week with 7,391 copies sold, down from Volume 23’s 7,926 copies. J-Novel Club has released 18 of its volumes so far in the west, so be sure to check it out! It too received an Anime adaptation in 2017 by then studio Production Reed, which underwent a name change to Ashi Productions in 2019.

At number 9 is Genjitsu Shugi Yuusha no Oukoku Saikenki Volume 15. The series has not been performing well with only Volume 12 making the Top 10 chart in 2020. In its first week, the 12th volume had 5,392 copies sold. Volume 15 had a turnout of 5,410 copies sold, but it does not seem to be getting any push from its upcoming Anime adaptation which will start from July the 4th. J.C. Mofumofu ga Afureru Isekai de Shiawase Kagomochi Seikatsu by Aripon settles for 10th place with 4,282 copies sold. Without further ado, the full list is as follows:
