Japan Top 10 Weekly Light Novel Ranking: February 8, 2021 ~ February 14, 2021

Kusuriya no Hitorigoto sales are down for the week between February 8 to February 14. It dropped nearly 60% week-on-week as copies sold hit 11,234 copies. This would put the total 3-week sales for its Volume 10 at 74,904 copies! I do expect it to still be on the chart the following week. Sales of Jujutsu Kaisen‘s novels too experienced a decline with both Yuku Natsu to Kaeru Aki and Yoake no Ibara Michi falling 24.26% and 22.38% respectively. After a recorded rise the previous week, all of Kimetsu no Yaiba titles on the chart stumbled with Kaze no Michishirube the hardest affected of the lot.

Apart from that, with Kusuriya no Hitorigoto slipping to number 2, the week welcomed a new release at number 1 with the latest volume of Ryuuou no Oshigoto! However, sales are pale in comparison to the debut of Volume 12 and Volume 13 back in 2020. Volume 12 sold 30,008 (plus the Limited Edition) copies in its first week while Volume 13 managed to sell 22,513 copies. The title’s 14th volume should still be able to maintain its ability to generate sales the following week based on previous data. At number 4 is 86’s Volume 9, which performed much better than sales of Volume 8 in its first week. Sales for Volume 8 did climb the week after, if all goes well for the title’s 9th volume, we may witness the same phenomenon. The other two new titles are Isekai ni Teni shitara Yama no Naka datta. Handou de Tsuyosa yori mo Kaitekisa wo Erabimashita. (No. 6) and Legend (No. 10). The full list is as follows:
