Please note that Oricon’s daily surveys do not cover all stores in Japan, and some data may be missing from the list provided below. To view the list of stores that participate in Oricon’s surveys, please refer to the link provided (or the post here). If you would like to learn more about Oricon and their tracking methods, you may find additional information here. While I have manually counted the number of stores included in the list below, please be aware that there may be some errors, and not all stores are listed on official websites as many are exclusive sets listed to certain retailers. Therefore, it’s important to keep in mind that the number of stores counted may not fully reflect all retailers that sell the product.
Please note that the cutoff point on the Blu-ray general chart for the week was 887 copies, while on the DVD chart, it was 478 copies. Therefore, any releases marked as “N/A” below indicate that they have sold fewer copies than the specified amount.

Analysis
When compared to the previous season, Yuukaku-hen, the latest season of Kimetsu no Yaiba, Katanakaji no Sato-hen‘s 1st volume has underperformed. It is down by 39.33% compared to Yuukaku-hen’s Volume 1 and is weaker against the rest of Season 2’s volumes. However, overall, Katanakaji no Sato-hen‘s Volume 1 is still ahead of Season 1’s volumes, except for Volume 7, Volume 10, and Volume 11, which it has seen decreases of 2.87%, 12.65%, and 4.39% respectively. It is still too early to determine if the latest season has outperformed its predecessors. We will have a clearer picture once Volume 3 is released.
In total, including DVD copies, Katanakaji no Sato-hen Volume 1 has sold an impressive 13,360 copies, generating a revenue of 89,099,000 yen (≈618.45 thousand USD).
Additional Comments
A follow-up season to Katanakaji no Sato-hen has been announced, titled “Hashira Geiko-hen” or the “Hashira Training Arc.” The actual broadcast date of the season is still unknown as of the time of writing.
