Plus, all the data you find below is accessible via Oricon right here (Blu-ray) and here (DVD). To access the sales data, be sure to click on the “Analytics” accordion and then click “Chart”. This should bring you to the Google chart page that contains the latest available sales data.
Please note that Oricon’s daily surveys do not cover all stores in Japan, and some data may be missing from the list provided below. To view the list of stores that participate in Oricon’s surveys, please refer to the link provided (or the post here). If you would like to learn more about Oricon and their tracking methods, you may find additional information here. While I have manually counted the number of stores included in the list below, please be aware that there may be some errors, and not all stores are listed on official websites as many are exclusive sets listed to certain retailers. Therefore, it’s important to keep in mind that the number of stores counted may not fully reflect all retailers that sell the product.
Please note that the cutoff point on the Blu-ray general chart for the week was 686 copies whereas on the DVD’s chart, that would be 461 copies. Therefore, any releases denoted with “N/A” have sold less than the amount stated.
The general outcome of Anime’s disc sales were weak for the week amid a lack of new and notable releases of which is expected to last in the following week as well. Overall, the results should be a lot better between August 21 and August 27.
