Anime Blu-ray and DVD charts for the week between August 1 and August 7 exhibits the usual trend of a slowdown at the start of the month amid the lack of notable and new releases on the charts. Past releases are still quite heavily present with Sing 2 remaining as the best-selling title for the second consecutive week. Right below it is the 2nd volume of Machikado Mazoku: 2-choume at 3,137 copies in its first 5 days, a slight improvement of 0.16% over Volume 1’s 3,137 copies the month before, however it is 32.35% less than the performance of Season 1’s Volume 2 which sold 4,637 copies in its first 5 days.

Other new releases that made it onto the charts are Thunderbird 55 / GOGO at Number 4 with 1,084 copies sold for its Blu-ray edition in its first 5 days while its DVD edition failed to chart on the Top 20, placing 9th on the DVD list. Hula Fulla Dance, the film adaptation of the Manga of the same name can be found at Number 5 on the Blu-ray chart selling under 1,000 copies in its first 5 days while the final part of Koi wa Sekai Seifuku no Ato de is at Number 10. As for the rest of the new releases, they can be found on the DVD chart with PAW Patrol: The Movie leading the way at 999 copies, Pokemon: Kami to Yobareshi Arceus is 8th on the list while Machikado Mazoku: 2-choume Vol. 2 and Boruto: Naruto Next Generations DVD Box 13 are 13th and 20th respectively. Note that the cutoff point for DVD’s Top 20 general category is 463 copies for the week.
