Disc sales as a whole remains lacklustre for the week between May 16 and May 22 with only three new releases on the Top 10, and only two of the new three releases managed to breach the Oricon’s Top 20 Blu-ray chart for the week. The top spot goes for Princess Connect! Re:Dive Season 2 Volume 3 at 6,521 copies sold in its first 6 days, its worst performance to date. Both Volumes 1 and 2 were already exhibiting a very low turnout when compared to its Season 1’s discs sales despite having longer days of sales. To compare, the Season 1’s 1st volume sold 28,518 copies in its first 3 days while Season 2’s Volume 1 were at 9,283 copies sold. Nevertheless, it is not to say that the 9,000 copies sold made by Volumes 1 and 2, and the 6,521 copies sold made by Volume 3 are bad at all. However, relative to how it performed for Season 1, and the fact that this is its last volume, this does not bode so well for Season 2. The other two new releases on the Top 10 belong to Number 3’s Cue! Volume 3 and Ousama Ranking Blu-ray Disc Box Volume 3 at Number 4, both in their first 5 days. As for Cue! it missed out on the Top 20 for Volume 2, though this time around, it netted 1,095 copies sold for Volume 3. Ousama Ranking Volume 3 on the other hand, fails to chart on both the Top 20 Blu-ray and DVD charts with copies sold slightly lower than 1,000 for both editions.
