A much weaker turnout for Anime Blu-rays and DVDs for the week between January 10 to January 16 compared to the week before. Past titles such as Umayon and Girls & Panzer: Saishuushou Part 3 have slumped week-on-week by more than 40% as copies sold go under 1,000 copies. And what is most likely to come as a surprise is the very low turnout for the debut release of Ousama Ranking which places 2nd at only 647 copies sold for its Blu-rays. Its DVDs could not push hard enough to earn a spot on the Top 20 as sales were below 300 copies. But, before jumping into conclusion that the series is not doing well, note that there are other more important indicators, as such let us wait for IG Port’s (the parent company of Wit Studio which is producing the Anime) to release their financial result for the full fiscal year of 2022. That should give us a clearer picture of its performance as an Anime series.

Despite having more releases than the week before, several titles have failed to rank including: Edens Zero Volume 6, D_Cide Traumerei the Animation Volume 2 and Sakugan Volume 1. The following week may see a better outcome, however it will not be as great as the week after either (between January 24 to January 30) as that would be the week with the most number of notable releases.
